Excerpt From Mr. Adnan Oktar's live interview on Kral Karadeniz TV and Asu TV, January 4th, 2009

Some people imagine that they themselves, matter and the world they see all around them are all absolute beings. But they regard Allah (surely He is beyond that) as an imagination pervading that absolute matter. Or else, since they cannot see Him with their own eyes, they say: “Allah must be somewhere we cannot see, in space or far away from human eyes.” (Surely Allah is beyond that.) But these are all grave errors.
Because Allah is everywhere, not just in the sky. As the sole absolute being, Allah enfolds the whole universe, all people and places, the heavens and everywhere. And Allah is manifested in the whole universe. According to the hadith, our Prophet (saas) said that someone who said that Allah was in the sky was telling the truth. But this account in no way conflicts with the fact that Allah is everywhere. Because if someone at your location on Earth raises his hands and prays to Allah and thinks that Allah is in the sky, while someone at the South Pole turns to Allah in the same way, while someone else at the North Pole raises his hands and yet another individual in Japan, or America or Ecuador raises his hands to the sky in the same way and turns to Allah, then it is impossible to speak of any fixed direction. In the same way, if djinn, angels and demons at various points in space and the universe also pray toward the skies, it will again be impossible to speak of any fixed direction, and the situation will be one that covers the entire universe.

We must not also forget that Allah is unfettered by time and space. Allah’s self is something different. But the manifestations of Allah are everywhere. If someone enters a room and says Allah is not there, he is denying Allah. The manifestations of Allah are in that room and everywhere. Wherever you may turn, manifestations of Allah are there. Several verses of the Qur’an state that Allah pervades all places, that He is closer to us than our own jugular veins, and that we will see His face wherever we look. For example, in verse 255 of Surat al-Baqara Allah says "... His Footstool encompasses the heavens and the earth...." Verse 92 of Surah Hud says, "...But my Lord encompasses everything that you do" meaning that Allah also pervades what people do.
The truth revealed in the Qur’an is clear: Allah is not only in the skies. Allah is He Who enfolds and pervades all places. This knowledge is provided to us by way of the Qur’an. Describing the reality of the secret behind matter will enable people to better understand these verses. People who realize that matter is not an absolute entity will realize with complete clarity that Allah is everywhere at any moment, that He sees and hears them at all moments, that He witnesses all things and is closer to them than their own jugular veins, and that He hears the prayers of those who pray.
Some verses of the Qur’an on the subject

Both East and West belong to Allah, so wherever you turn, the Face of Allah is there. Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing. (Surat al-Baqara, 115)
Allah, there is no god but Him, the Living, the Self-Sustaining. He is not subject to drowsiness or sleep. Everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him. Who can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them but they cannot grasp any of His knowledge save what He wills. His Footstool encompasses the heavens and the earth and their preservation does not tire Him. He is the Most High, the Magnificent. (Surat al-Baqara, 255)
When We said to you, ‘Surely your Lord encompasses the people with His knowledge.’ We only appointed the vision We showed you and the Accursed Tree in the Qur’an as a trial and temptation for the people. We frighten them, but it only increases them in their excessive insolence. (Surat al-Isra’, 60)
There is no one in the heavens and earth who will not come to the All-Merciful as a slave. He has counted them and numbered them precisely. (Surah Maryam, 93-94)
And other booty you do not yet have the power to take –Allah has already encompassed it.Allah has power over all things. (Surat al- Fath, 21)
While Allah is encircling them from behind. (Surat al-Buruj, 20)
We created man and We know what his own self whispers to him. We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. (Surah Qaf, 16)
If something good happens to you, it galls them. If something bad strikes you, they rejoice at it. But if you are steadfast and have fear of Allah, their scheming will not harm you in any way. Allah encompasses what they do. (Surah Al ‘Imran, 120)
They try to conceal themselves from people, but they cannot conceal themselves from Allah. He is with them when they spend the night saying things which are not pleasing to Him. Allah encompasses everything they do. (Surat an-Nisa’, 108)
What is in the heavens and in the earth belongs to Allah. Allah encompasses all things. (Surat an-Nisa’, 126)
Do not be like those who left their homes in arrogance, showing off to people and barring them from the way of Allah – Allah encompasses what they do. (Surat al-Anfal, 47)
He said, ‘My people! Do you esteem my clan more than you do Allah? You have made Him into something to cast disdainfully behind your backs! But my Lord encompasses everything that you do!’ (11:92)
What! Are they in doubt about the meeting with their Lord? What! Does He not encompass all things? (Surah Fussilat, 54)

MR. ADNAN OKTAR’S REMARKS ON DESTINY, PREORDINATION AND THE FACT THAT ALLAH IS EVERYWHERE
Adnan Oktar: The subjects on which people concentrate most are those such as the existence of Allah, death, what will happen in the Hereafter, and Destiny. In other words, no matter how much they try not to let on, this is the subject that occupies their brains day and night. Because every night, there is a film on the TV about someone dying. Even if a person sees a dead insect, it would remind him of death, and when he thinks about himself it reminds him of death again.
People are very troubled when it comes to destiny. There are still objections raised, even though I have talked about it at such length, they are still saying things. They say that Allah has created destiny, of course. There is Predestination, but there is also partial free will, they say, in other words a very small power unique to us that Allah - may Allah forbid- cannot control, which belongs to us. In other words, Allah does not know what we will do, or He knows, but only vaguely(May Allah forbid). And when we do something Allah shows us two paths, but cannot know which we will go down. We choose that path, may Allah forbid, with our own free will. And that comes up as a surprise information, may Allah forbid, for Allah. That is to say something emerges that He encounters for the first time, and Allah thus tests us, and He understands accordingly (May Allah forbid). There is no such thing at all. Both Preordination and partial free will are created by Allah Himself.
Look, there exists just one single moment. What does a single moment in time mean? It means an infinitely short space of time. What we call “an instant” is an infinitely short time. Allah has created and completed infinite before and an infinite after within that infinitely brief moment. There is nothing to be done. There is nothing one can do. So how is that partial free will of yours not part of destiny? Consequently, such egocentric people who regard themselves – may Allah forbid- as divine, cannot get over this point one way or another. The fact that Allah has created Preordination and also partial free will disturb them for some reason. The second thing that disturbs them is the fact that Allah is everywhere. They want Allah to be up in the sky. They want Him to be in one specific point in the sky. Not everywhere in the sky, just in one specific location there. That means, relative to infinity that makes it a place that can count for nothing. Because compared to infinity, no matter how large something in a given place is, anything covering a given volume- may Allah forbid, we do not carry such a belief- is still infinitely small. Isn’t it, it is infinitely small. It exists but is very small.
Someone wrote in recently saying that if Allah is in our room, and everywhere in our bodies, then we must ourselves be Allah, may Allah forbid! We worship the Essence of Allah. Being a Manifestation of Allah is one thing, the Essence of Allah is different, isn’t it? We worship the Essence of Allah. Of course we are Manifestations of Allah and Allah exists everywhere. He is also in our bodies. Some people do not want Allah to be in their bodies. And they do not therefore want Him to be in the room, either. Where do they want Him? Up in the sky and far, far away. They want Him to be there, quadrillions of kilometers away, may Allah forbid!
Why do they say it has to be like this, why do they believe in this, I really don’t understand. It means that when such people are asked if Allah is here, they would say He is not. Where is Allah? Up in the sky, but Allah is not here, they would say. Consequently, they would say Allah is not on earth (may Allah forbid), right? They would say Allah is up in the skies but He is not here. They say only His knowledge can reach us, but not Him. They say: “we are the absolute beings, Allah is but a shadow”.
I used to hear that in my childhood. Prove that Allah exists, they used to say. And then they would say; “Can you show a TV image, or a radio sound, or your own mind? Can you show us the inside of your mind?” Then they used to say since you can’t show your own mind, you can’t show Allah, either, that was their explanation. It is true that Allah cannot be seen or touched, and is not an object. He is not an entity with time and space. He is outside time and space. But these people’s real aim in that, is very different. For instance they say there was a young girl, and Rasulullah (saas) came by. He asked “Where is Allah?” She replied “He is in the sky.” “You are right”, said the Prophet (saas). They show this as a proof and believe that Allah is in the sky. Alright, Allah is in the sky. When a child points upward, she points to the skies and she is in Arabia. Someone at the North Pole raises his hands to the sky and prays to Allah, or at the South Pole. Someone at the Equator raises his hand. People all around the whole globe, point their hands upwards. Other entities on Mercury or Uranus and all other planetary systems also point upward. In that event, a state of affairs arises that actually covers the whole voids of space, doesn’t it?
Since everyone everywhere raises his hand, and since the sky is everywhere. For example, for someone on Mercury, the skies is also the Earth, and when he points upward he is pointing toward the Earth. And when someone on earth raises his hands to the skies he would be pointing to another planet. For that reason, the result is a situation covering the whole 360 degrees. They have failed to appreciate that. Once we said that, these people pulled up in their tracks instantly and these peculiar beliefs were never raised again. But such people still turn up from time to time and say these kinds of things. There are still those who insist on partial free will. OK, partial free will does exist, but within destiny. It exists within the destiny created by Allah. It is created and over and done with inside destiny. You choose, you make your own choice, but it is within your own destiny. For that reason, may Allah forbid, you do not have the means to make a surprise for Allah. In other words, you cannot do anything that Allah does not know.
You just do something that already exists, that has already happened before, that is all.

ADNAN OKTAR'S EXPLANATIONS OF VERSES FROM SURAT AT-TAWBA

(Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar’s live interview on Kocaeli TV and Mavi Karadeniz TV, October 13th, 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Almighty Allah says in verse 21 of Surat at-Tawba about the believers: “Their Lord gives them the good news of His mercy,” the mercy of Allah. Mercy is a blessing that comprises all forms of beauty. “... and good pleasure,” all delights that would please people, “and Gardens where they will enjoy everlasting delight.” Look, there are Gardens for believers, and His mercy and a good pleasure. There is happiness in this world and the Hereafter. They will “remain in them timelessly.” In Paradise. “Truly there is an immense reward with Allah.” In other words, Allah says the reward in His sight will be a very great one.

“Oh you who believe,” says Almighty Allah, “Do not befriend your fathers and brothers if they prefer disbelief to belief.” Leave them if they are opposed to your living by Islam, to your living with Muslims and striving alongside them, if they say you should think like them, that you should be immoral or not live like a Muslim or not strive alongside Muslims, if they love and prefer denial instead of faith, denial; meaning every kind of attitude that contradicts Islam “do not befriend your fathers and brothers if they prefer disbelief to belief.” Do not be their friends. Leave them. Who says this? Almighty Allah. “Those among you who do befriend them” who become friends with them, “are wrongdoers.” Almighty Allah says this is unlawful. Do not obey them if they seek to turn you from the path of Allah, for they are not your friends, parents and fathers, Allah says. Allah tells us not to obey them. Leave them if necessary. They cannot succeed, not even if they fight and wage war against you. Leave them, says Almighty Allah. “Say, If your fathers or your brothers or your sons or your wives or your tribe,” that is your community, “or any wealth you have acquired, or any business you fear may slump or any house which pleases you, are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger,” the leaders who strive alongside you at the time, “and struggling in His way,” to strive in the path of Allah, “then wait until Allah brings about His command.” He says that if you prefer your family to struggling in the way of Allah, to spreading the religion of Allah and to being with other Muslims, if you prefer your people, your possessions and your brothers, “then wait until Allah brings about His command.” Allah says He will punish you, so wait. I will punish you. “Allah does not guide people who are deviators.” In other words, He does not guide people who disobey His commands. He does not bring them salvation, faith in their hearts nor contentment and well-being. Almighty Allah says this about whom? Look, “your fathers or your brothers or your sons or your wives or your tribe,” your community, “or any wealth you have acquired, or any business you fear may slump or any house which pleases you,” If you prefer any of these to Allah, the Qur’an, spreading the Qur’an, living by the moral values of the Qur’an, “... and His Messenger,” any leader from the community of Muslims living at that time, and I say this in the figurative sense, “and struggling in His way,” striving on the path of Allah, “then wait until Allah brings about His command.” Allah says that if you abandon the community of Islam and turn for such interests, He will punish you.

Allah says you must abandon them even if they are your father and brothers if they try to turn your from the way of Allah or to stop you striving alongside Muslims. Never obey them says Allah. “Allah has helped you on many occasions, including on the Day of Hunayn.” Allah says He helps you everywhere. In verse 26 Allah says: “Then Allah sent down His serenity on His Messenger and on the believers.” He says He bestowed a feeling of security and calm on them. “... and sent down troops you could not see.” What is there in the End of Times? Gabriel (Jibril), Michael (Mikha’il) and Raphael (Israfil) will be on the right and left side of Hazrat Mahdi (as). He says that He will support Hazrat Mahdi (as) with 3000 angels. Almighty Allah reveals that in the hadith of our Prophet (saas). That is what the verse is referring to. “Allah sent down His serenity and sent down troops you could not see.” That means they are invisible. What does Cubbeli say? He says that they will be visible. But Allah says they will be invisible, that you will not see them. In the End of Times, we are the vanguards of Hazrat Mahdi (as). Allah helps also those who go before Hazrat Mahdi (as). Allah also gives them grace, insha’Allah. “He punished those who were unbelievers. That is how the unbelievers are repaid.” Allah tells us to give a struggle against them, may Allah put them to their trump through your hands, dissuade them, humiliate them because of their immorality. What are we doing? We are exposing the liars, the trickers, the corrupted. We are exposing all the oppressors. Look what Allah says “Fight them! Allah will punish them at your hands, and disgrace them and help you against them, and heal the hearts of those who believe.”

We are also striving against the enemies of the motherland, of the nation, against the alleged organization Ergenekon, against freemasonry, and against those who seek to hinder Islamic Union, Turkish-Islamic Union, and we are humiliating them intellectually, with reason, ideas and thoughts. We are exposing their lies and stratagems and we are utterly disgracing them. That is the command of Allah. “He will remove the rage from their hearts...” He will heal the hearts of the believers. “Allah turns to anyone He wills. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.” “Or did you suppose that you would be left without Allah knowing those of you who have struggled and who have not taken anyone as their intimate friends besides Allah and His Messenger and the believers?” Allah tells us to take only believers as friends. Allah says He will test people. He tells them to take “only those who have struggled” that is to say those who struggle, who strive for good and those who do not take friends other than Allah, His Messenger and the believers. Look He says “Allah, His Messenger and the believers”. Allah tells us to take only the believers as our friends. “Did you suppose you would be left without Allah had known those and bring them into light,” says Allah. Allah says that some of you will be treacherous and leak information about believers to others, and Almighty Allah says that He will identify these people. “Allah is aware of what you do.” We are also striving, for the national integrity of the motherland and to prevent Turkey being broken up, against the PKK, against the communists and against the alleged Ergenekon organization. The most dangerous of all are the freemasons and atheist Zionists, and we are engaged in an intellectual struggle against them. What are we doing? We are waging jihad. When He speaks of struggling, Allah does not mean with sticks and stones and swords. This means ideas and culture and knowledge. These are the weapons. Hazrat Mahdi (as) will cause no bloodshed in the End Times, and he will not cause the sleeper to be woken. He will crush denial by calling on Allah. What are we? We are the vanguard of Hazrat Mahdi (as), so we have the upbringing of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and are striving with love, affection, science and the truth in exactly the same way, and we are humiliating the unbelievers. We are exposing their lies and stratagems. The stratagems of the PKK, for instance. We are exposing the snare of the freemasons, the supposedly scientific frauds they use to deceive the public and the nation. We are exposing the frauds of the Darwinists and are utterly humiliating them. They are being humiliated in the sight of the people because they employ frauds.

BRITONS WANT CREATION TO BE TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS

Great Britain, Darwin’s own homeland, now rejects evolution. For years the bastion of Darwinism, Britain has come to oppose evolution extraordinarily quickly over the past few years. The country heads the list of those in which the fact of creation is spreading the quickest, and the public, as recent newspaper headlines show, now want students to learn about the fact of creation in schools.

Richard Dawkins, who has recently stepped up his pro-Darwinist and atheist activities in Britain, imagined that Darwinism, the worst deception in the world, would be strengthened with atheist camps and demagoguery. Dawkins has been engaged in wide-ranging activities to that end for many years now, and has expressed his concern at the spread of Creationist belief, and has set these fears out in his latest book in such a clear manner that they cannot be denied. Rather than providing any scientific evidence to support his claims, Dawkins makes far from scientific accusations, writes slogans on the sides of public buses, seeks to attract interest by performing impersonations on talk shows and most recently sought shelter behind the idea of aliens. He truly imagined that these false and demagogic methods would work. His latest book, in which he claims to “provide evidence for evolution,” actually contains not a single piece of scientific evidence, only demagoguery, but he actually thinks that this outdated method going back 150 years can still influence people today.

The fact is, however, that Dawkins’ efforts in this direction have been in vain and have enabled people to better see the true face of evolution. According to the results of an opinion poll conducted last year, only 25% of British people believe in evolution. Parents have now objected to the state of affairs in which evolution alone has been taught in schools and that has persisted for many years, and have now said, “Creation should also be taught in schools.” The increasingly rapid turning toward Allah in Britain in particular has fundamentally undermined and demolished the bastion of Darwinism. Dawkins must have been amazed to see the turning toward the fact of Creation among the British people in whom he had placed so much faith, since he had no hesitations over ignorantly describing his own people as “ignorant.”

Those who went along with superstition and failed to comprehend the sublime might and power of Allah have always fallen into the error into which Dawkins and other Darwinists have fallen. They have believed that a claim put forward in opposition to Allah, a mass deception, could muster support and grow using corrupt and false methods. They imagined that the more propaganda was made, the more effective it would be. They imagined they could make good their lack of scientific evidence by indulging in impersonations on chat shows, putting posters up on the sides of buses and entering into debates with middle school students. The fact is, however, that by doing so they have made the great mistake committed by everyone who has ever striven against Allah. Allah has always thwarted the plans of those who strove against the truth with superstition and led them to failure. Under the law of our Almighty Lord, those who do this in the future will also be condemned to failure. Almighty Allah tells us in His verses:

... Allah is our Lord and your Lord. We have our actions and you have your actions. There is no debate between us and you. Allah will gather us all together. He is our final destination.’ The argument of those who argue about Allah, once He has been acknowledged, has no basis whatsoever with their Lord… (Surat ash-Shura, 15-16)

CREATIONISM EMERGES IN THE ISLAMIC WORLD (USA - The New York Times - 3 November 2009)

The New York Times, which is one of the largest dailies in the US, published in the New York City and has a circulation of over 1 million published an article named “Creationism, Minus a Young Earth, Emerges in the Islamic World” on November 3, 2009. The article talked about Mr. Adnan Oktar’s Atlas of Creation and the global impact of his anti-Darwinist activities. In the article in question, it is emphasized that the number of people who do not believe in Darwinism increased and the theory of evolution is questioned more among the students:

CREATIONISM IS GROWING IN THE MUSLIM WORLD, FROM TURKEY TO PAKISTAN TO INDONESIA, international academics said last month as they gathered here to discuss the topic… MORE AND MORE SEEM TO BE JOINING THE RANKS OF THE …old-Earth CREATIONISTS. They quarrel with…biologists, insisting that life is the creation of God, not the happenstance consequence of random occurrences.

The situation in Turkey is different and changed only in the past couple of decades… Harun Yahya, a TURKISH CREATIONIST OF THE OLD-EARTH VARIETY, HAS GAINED PROMINENCE IN TURKEY AND ELSEWHERE. A quarter of a world away, most of the biology teachers in Indonesia USE MR. YAHYA’S CREATIONIST BOOKS in their classrooms, the McGill researchers found…

There is some indication that in the West… Islamic creationism may be stronger. For example, high school students at Islamic schools in and near Toronto were far more doubting of evolution than students in Indonesia or Pakistan, the McGill researchers found...

SIGNS LEADING TO FAITH FROM MR. OKTAR'S INTERVIEWS

1- THE IMPORTANCE OF SIGNS LEADING TO FAITH

ADNAN OKTAR’S AHI TV (KIRŞEHIR) INTERVIEW (15 July 2008)

ADNAN OKTAR: The works of Harun Yahya primarily target and emphasize the importance of signs leading to faith. Because it is very important for people’s faith to be strengthened before making any proposition to them. It is very important they should possess a powerful faith. And signs leading to faith are very important for such faith; in other words, the marvels of Allah in creation. Allah frequently says, (I take refuge in Allah from satan), “Do they not think, do they not reason?” in the Qur’an. The subject is also one that has been particularly emphasized by the great and holy scholar Bediuzzaman Said-i Nursi. It is a very, very important subject. For example, the Turkish nation has a high level of faith. We can see the excellent results of that faith everywhere. But they attach great importance to the signs leading to faith, see Allah’s artistry everywhere and are a people who are prepared to suffer. The Turkish nation is a suffering nation.

ADNAN OKTAR’S TEMPO TV INTERVIEW (24 March 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: But he creates the exact same thing, and we are intertwined with Him. We are drunk with the love of Allah and take huge delight from all the images that Allah shows us. When He shows us the sea, do we not enjoy it, thinking that it is an image? In such a case we only see our own weakness and helplessness, and recognize that all strength lies with Allah. And from that, we see how easy [it will be for Allah to create] Paradise and Hell, and everything becomes a sign leading to faith for us. For example, this watch on my arm, that alone is sufficient to cause me to have faith. Even if I had no other evidence, I could just look at that watch. What is the power, who is it that creates this in my brain? Who could bestow such an image on me? That is, who can give me such an image? No technology or scientist, nothing can do that, because the technology and what we describe as the scientists out there are also things we watch on the monitors in our brains. Absolute power belongs to Allah. That is why a single glass is sufficient reason for us to believe. This makes everything into a sign leading to faith. In other words, for someone who realizes this, who knows this secret, not just insects, birds and animals but also all of technology represent signs leading to faith. And Allah says that the image on that day is sharp, that Paradise will be three-dimensional. The image of it will be even sharper. It will be sharper, but nevertheless still an image. Why does Allah has to be an image (May Allah forgive us) while the matter to be something absolute? Matter does exist on the outside, but it is a very slight thing on the outside. Indeed, scientists say that were it not for the structure of and system in the eye, matter would be transparent under normal circumstances. In other words, because of the structure of the atom, that is, for instance, there is a nucleus with electrons orbiting around it. Let us imagine that a structure, the nucleus, is here, while the electrons are revolving far away in Beyazıt, for instance. That is a hugely impressive distance. And that gap between them results in transparency. That is why matter does not assume the form we understand. That is how the eye sees it. The Sun has no light, for example. This is Allah’s glorious artistry and glorious evidence to cause people to have faith. In my view, this is the greatest miracle there has ever been. That is why our brothers must grasp its profundity. In other words, it is impossible for any rational person to possess that knowledge but still not believe. It is impossible for any ordinarily rational person not to believe once they have grasped this. They will believe, not 99%, but 100%. They will have 100% faith. And the result is a clear fear of Allah. A person will clearly comprehend Paradise and Hell and have 100% faith in their existence. This knowledge is a gateway.

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KAÇKAR TV (8 January 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: The real issue in this world, our real job, is to earn Allah’s approval. That is why we come here. The reason for our presence in this world is to earn the approval of Allah and to serve Him. That is why Allah produces an environment of testing. He tests us with difficulties, sorrows, advantages, possession, our children, our peoples, our surroundings and all kinds of earthly desires. We will always respond sincerely to these and take decisions responding to Allah’s approval. That is what Allah wants to see. The signs leading to faith are very important in bringing that about, the proofs of Allah’s existence in other words, His artistry in the structure of a cell for example. When we show people Allah’s artistry in the existence of human beings, or in a spider, a bee, the structure of the atom or anything, they gain a better conception of the might and greatness of Allah and come to fear and love Him more.

2- REFLECTING ON ALLAH’S BLESSINGS

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW WITH KANAL 35 (IZMIR) (07 February 2009)

For example, whenever we open any page of the Qur’an we are confronted by everything regarding the necessity of life. There will always be a pronouncement on that. For instance, let me read it. I take refuge in Allah from satan: It is He Who creates hanging and non-hanging gardens, dates and products with different tastes, olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar. Look how grape vines with hanging and non-hanging gardens appear before our eyes. Grapes, as you know, hang down in bunches weighing 40 kilos, 50 kilos, 20 or 10 kilos. They have delightful appearances; products with different tastes; as you see, every one tasting different. Different tastes is something breathtaking. I was doing some shopping the other day and mentioned to my friends how every vegetable has its own lovely taste and smell. And they are all bright and shiny, as if they had been varnished. Some are black and others bright green, and some are lovely, bright red. It is He Who creates them all similar and different. Eat of the products when they bear fruit and give them out on the day of harvest. Distribute them to people on harvest day. Let people eat plentifully of them. Do not waste. Waste is something very important. As you know, waste is one of the main causes of this current economic crisis. Allah tells us not to be wasteful. Because He does not love the profligate. What an excellent way of putting it. But look, It is also He Who creates beasts of burden and those that are used for their hides. Eat of those that Allah has given you as food and do not follow in satan’s footsteps. Because he is your declared foe. Look, Allah emphasizes it again. Eat of those that Allah has given you as food. Eat of those products, He says. But here again, eat of those things that Allah has given you as food. We like all these things very much. Every repetition of words of love, words of blessing, emphases and moral values delight us ever more. These are part of human nature. Allah bestows this as a blessing. Otherwise He could just have glossed over it once. But He insists on it over and again. It therefore remains better fixed in our minds. We comprehend it better. It leads us to reflect much more.

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW WITH TEMPO TV (24 December 2008)

Of course people forget Allah’s blessings from time to time. Sight for instance; we currently see a bright and vivid world. I am now seeing a very clear, three-dimensional world, and furthermore I am seeing it in my brain. You are also seeing me in three dimensions and very clearly in your brain. The smell of perfume, for instance, is a lovely thing, a lemon fragrance is utterly delightful, or a scent of orange is an entirely different blessing. The sense of touch is a whole separate blessing. And hearing is another blessing all of its own. Allah has also created three-dimensional sound, a sound better than that on even the highest quality tape. In other words, nothing like the sound currently forming in my brain can form on even the world’s highest-quality and most advanced tape. Nor on the most advanced television. These are all very great blessings. Poets sometimes mention the blessings of Allah and describe their beauties and everything else.

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course science can take advantage of the structure, depths, technical matters and beauty that Allah has created in the universe to make many new discoveries. If we tried to list these, that list would be never-ending. This is a whole separate miracle, of course, that the verses created by Allah and science should be so tightly inter-related. Because Allah says there will also be signs in the outside world. Verses, or signs, are not limited to the Qur’an alone. Allah says you will also see signs outside. He says you will see and recognize Alla’s signs, as we see and recognize them.

PRESENTER: I think that is in Surah Yusuf.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes.

REPORTER: There are verses stating that there are so many signs in the world that they pass over many of them and fail to reflect on them. But there are many signs for those who look with the eyes of truth. Please go on...

ADNAN OKTAR: Let us imagine we are walking in the country, along a lane, if we look down we will see tiny ants, tiny insects, but really intelligent; for example, we will see the magnificent movement of a spider. If we hold it with something and then leave it from some height, we will watch it descend on that very thin thread, just like an elevator. If it doesn’t like what it finds, it will start consuming that delicate thread it has produced, climbing up again really fast. Then if it gets bored it will come down again, really fast. As you know, spiders produce a special thread for all occasions.

3- THE CREATION OF THE UNIVERSE

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KRAL KARADENIZ (30 March 2009)

In fact he says that more than 99 percent of the universe is nothing. It continues as 99.9999%. “Bearing in mind that the universe is expanding at an astonishing speed, more nothing is coming into existence than there was previously.” In other words, he is saying that the universe is normally transparent. All scientists agree on this.

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KRAL KARADENIZ (13 March 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Their greatest fantasy was the way they said that matter was without beginning or end. But then they saw that matter did have a beginning. That was realized with the Big Bang theory. They saw that their claims were totally unfounded. They now say that the universe came into being 5 or 10 billion years ago, when something with zero volume and infinite density exploded, out of nothing. What does the Qur’an say? It says it came into being out of nothing. What does zero volume mean? It means it has zero volume, it has no volume whatsoever. There is no volume, what would you understand by that? [We understand that] It has no volume, right? Something has either a volume [or not]. At least as much as that pin head over there. Zero volume means having no volume at all. They say the universe came into being out of something that has never existed. That is the end of the matter. If you say that, then you will admit that there is but one Allah, and there exists nothing else to say, insha’Allah.

5- MIRACLES IN THE HUMAN BODY; THE SENSE OF SMELL

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON BASKENT TV (24 April 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Masha’Allah, of course a chemical gas forms on the outside. That is, for example, also the case with a rose. The rose emits a chemical gas, and that reaches our noses, where it turns into an electric current. That current comes to our brains and we perceive it as a delightful fragrance. But there is no fragrance on the outside, only that chemical gas. Our brains interpret the scent of the rose, meaning that Allah creates it, He creates the perfume.

6- MIRACLES IN THE HUMAN BODY; DNA

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON EKIN TV (9 March 2009)

DNA is such a marvelous thing. It displays the wisdom of Allah. Look, this is a DNA helix. All the data concerning living things are encoded inside it, just like a library. Millions, billions of pieces of information are encoded.

A special enzyme arrives before the copying in order to divide the DNA strip into two. First of all how does that enzyme decide to split the DNA into two? That is a miracle of Allah’s. Masha’Allah. Some people imagine it can do it by itself, but there is no logic to that. A sublime consciousness is obviously required. Otherwise, why should it take that decision to split it into two, one requiring a very careful splitting process? DNA is a very delicate structure, and would otherwise be destroyed. It begins splitting the DNA up, just as like a pair of scissors. This enzyme, shown in orange, opens up the arms of the DNA helix just like a zipper. And it continues right along the line. Look, it is still opening it up here, from both sides. It opens and opens and opens. The enzyme shown in green holds both ends of the DNA stable to stop them winding round one another again. To stop the DNA reforming. Look, one team stops the parts that have been split up winding back together again, and these things are enzymes.

For one thing, a person would need eyes and ears. It would need to decide to cling onto it to stop it reforming. It would need arms and to be able to see it. The inside of the human body is pitch dark. The inside of the human flesh. That is, think of the life inside the flesh. Think of life inside the human body. Thinking of inside the human blood vessels, there is no light in them. Moreover they have neither eyes nor ears. How do they know the strands will try to coil round one another again and that they have to hold onto the ends? How do they know the strands have to be cut right down the middle? At this point, another enzyme adds the requisite information in the face of the two DNA strands. And that information is utterly extraordinary.

This, each one of them, is the information that describes a respective human characteristic. They correspond every each item to their counterparts. How do these components know that they have to line the strands up, which is another issue, and what is then built from them? How do they know that the correct part has been brought in by the same component? The construction of that component is a most mysterious matter, for which there is no explanation. They bring in the exact corresponding strip to that in the helix, in a perfectly regular manner, and line them up, match them up, perfectly regularly to make another strand.

Following the DNA replication, error identification begins. A specially charged enzyme checks every stage in the DNA chain, one by one, looking to see if an error has crept in anywhere. But how does it know whether an error has occurred?

If there is an error it identifies it, removes it and says that an incorrect component has arisen. These identify mistakes as if an error, the wrong book, had found its way into a human library. They then remove that wrong book. But how does it know that the component is wrong? And then, another enzyme brings the correct component into the space left behind and installs it there. This new enzyme, the third one, identifies the breakage in the DNA chain and brings in the correct material to repair it. It closes up and repairs the upper strand. After that... and that is just one stage out of millions in the human body. This is a very small part of the whole. Darwinists try and explain it in terms of chance. They say it all came about by chance.

Reporter: What you have described proves how irrational the idea that it happened by chance is. Even my brain gave up trying to comprehend it as you talked about it. The idea that this whole succession of extraordinary phenomena took place by chance...

ADNAN OKTAR: …an enzyme, a molecule has no eyebrows or eyes. What can it understand or know? This requires an extraordinary brain, extraordinary research and expertise... even a scientist would be mused if you asked them to do that job. They would get the locations mixed up and would be unable to build such a thing if you told them to. That is, they would be unable to produce even that first component. By casting an eye over the strand... nobody could put the connection between two components in place. How does it know which substance to put in there and build? Or how does it know which book needs to be put into the library? The mind is unable to grasp such things. This is just one of Allah’s trillions of marvels in the human body.

7- MIRACLES IN THE HUMAN BODY; THE COCCYX AND THE APPENDIX

ADNAN OKTAR'S NATIONAL NEWSPAPER (UAE) INTERVIEW (28 March 2009)

The coccyx is an attachment point for various muscles and is very important. It also protects the body against external shocks. That part of the body protects the region and a number of vitally important organs. It also serves a protective function in terms of elasticity, and such a structure is therefore essential at that point. The body would suffer if it were absent. Various muscles in the body would have nothing to attach themselves to. And that region could be damaged by any shock or blow from the outside. The appendix secretes mucus and serves important functions for the intestines.
It is now emerging how various organs serve hitherto unknown purposes or provide hitherto unknown benefits. People have now understood that the tonsils have an important role to play in the immune system, that they strengthen the body’s defenses, that they are organs that increase resistance to micro-organisms.
They used to be regarded as inessential, but we now know that they are very necessary. In the same way, the appendix is also a very important organ, one that secretes mucus.

8- MIRACLES IN THE HUMAN BODY; CELLS

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON EKIN TV (19 January 2009)

When we examine the cell it takes one’s breath away. The human cell is just like a city. It reminds one of Istanbul. That is the kind of organization it has. It amazes one. And amazement enhances our closeness to Allah. And our fear of Allah. And as our fear of Allah rises, so does the scrupulousness nature of our adherence to Islam. And we become impeccably virtuous.

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KACKAR TV (25 November 2008)

For example, there are thousands of animal fibers in this carpet or that, and these contain those animals’ chromosomes. In other words, billions of characteristics of those animals are encoded in a single carpet. We refer to it as a simple carpet, but it has a huge micro-code in it containing bits of micro-data. For example, there is more information coded in a single cell than in 23 large libraries. And the human body contains trillions of cells. Trillions of cells full of whole libraries-worth of information. And also in a carpet, in a little piece of cotton.

9- THE MIRACLES IN THE HUMAN EYE

ADNAN OKTAR’S VATAN TV INTERVIEW (02 April 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Various complicated devices are generally used in order to produce a tool, but Almighty Allah can create very easily. For example, there is a television system in the human eye, but the tools used are very very simple. An eye is used, some nerves and a tiny piece of flesh the size of a lentil, but within that system we see a three-dimensional world in our brains, in that most advanced television system. No company, neither Philips nor any other company has so far managed to match the high-quality image in our brains. Take a look at all the television producers in the world; none of them has ever been able to achieve the clarity of image that forms in our brains. And a great many devices and complex technical equipment are used. But they still cannot accomplish it. But the material used by Allah is very simple, the eye, a piece of flesh, a tiny, short nerve and a piece of flesh the size of a lentil. The result is a glorious image. Image transmission was possible with a much simpler technology in the time of the Prophet Sulayman (as). But that has been forgotten and much more difficult and complex technologies are used instead.

11- THE GOLDEN RATIO

ADNAN OKTAR’S CAY TV INTERVIEW 15 April 2009

ADNAN OKTAR: …There is a golden proportion in human beings, other living things, plants and everything. There is a proportion of 1.6. Allah employs it. There is mathematical regularity and geometric accuracy everywhere, and the whole universe is built on that perfect system. That applies to space, atoms and molecules and to human beings. Our brothers can log on to the harunyahya.com web site for detailed information if they so wish, insha’Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR’S KANAL 35 INTERVIEW (11 April 2009)

For instance, there is a golden ratio in this rose. Allah has created it with a perfect system, beauty and aesthetics masha’Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: Masha’Allah. Look how lovely that is. And look, the golden proportion reveals itself here, too. There is a glorious, technical beauty and a mathematical regularity in all created things. There is a mathematical system in the whole universe. Almighty Allah uses symmetry, in other words geometry, and mathematics in all the universe and all living things.

REPORTER: You can access detailed information on the subject from the http://www.harunyahya.com/articles/70golden_ratio.html web site.

ADNAN OKTAR: Look, there is a complete golden ratio in this cute little thing. There is a glorious technical regularity. What a lovely thing it is, masha’Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course there is a technical regularity in all of them. And also in human beings. They are completely symmetrical, right down the middle. People can see that in any seed or any plant.

ADNAN OKTAR’S AKS TV INTERVIEW (14 April 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: For example, there is golden ratio in the middle of every daisy and everything. That can be seen in all living things. For example, a pine cone has 8 left-handed spirals and 13 right-handed. Divide the one by the other and you have the golden proportion, 1.6. The proportion of 1.6 exists everywhere. Allah produces such a mathematical, technical regularity, and this is a great miracle.

REPORTER: A divine equilibrium...

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, it is in all living things. Allah uses it as a measure in the human face and body. Look, 1.6 manifests itself everywhere, and this is a huge, huge miracle.

REPORTER: A very great miracle.

ADNAN OKTAR: ... Look at everything. It is a measure Allah uses in insects, birds, leaves, trees and everywhere. There are 8 left-hand spirals in a species of cauliflower and 13 left-hand. Divide the one by the other and you have the golden ratio, 1.6. Look, there is a flawless mathematical proportion in the sequence of chicory seeds that fly in the wind. You can see it everywhere, in fruit and flowers. The golden ratio is used everywhere. It is a truly great miracle.
In the Qur’an, Almighty Allah says, “We have created everything with a measure.” That measure is used in plants and all living things. This is something people are generally unaware of, something very important but unfamiliar.

REPORTER: Yes, it is very interesting and a great miracle...

ADNAN OKTAR: In snowflakes, for instance, there is a mathematical regularity in everything. You can see the golden ratio is the same everywhere, 1.618.

12- THE HONEY BEE

ADNAN OKTAR'S LIVE INTERVIEW ON EKIN TV (2 March 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: The creature can be seen secreting wax in the photo in the form of very fine layers beneath its stomach. The wax is secreted in transparent plates. When the wax comes into contact with the air it hardens in the form of tiny scales and the wax is stored in pockets. They also have pockets.

REPORTER : Bees?

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, the wax is stored in their pockets. The worker bee extracts the scales of wax from the pockets using a hook on its back legs and carries them to its lower jaw. Look at the intelligence in the animal, all those stages. First of all, Allah has established such a system underneath it and it secretes it like chipboard; it goes through all these stages. Thanks to a special secretion in its saliva it chews the wax and makes it pliable. Look at all the work the animal puts in. They then add this wax to the comb in the form of round cells. The bees then thin the wax walls out, making them all of an equal thickness and giving them the form of hexagonal cells. Look how they do that by moistening it, plastering the cells individually and one by one, and never making a mistake with the angles. It does this really regularly with not a millimeter of error. As you know, they begin constructing the cells from either side, meeting in the middle.

REPORTER: So they work from the outside in?

ADNAN OKTAR: From the outside, of course. They begin construction from the two edges. Then they bring the two sides together and meet in the middle. In other words, if a human being were in the size of a bee, it could never do what the bee does, even if he were given all the available means, not even in 10 years.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, many bees work together in shaping the cells and shape the wax using their heads, feet and bodies. They use all their organs together, just like plasterers.

REPORTER: Allah, Allah! In a sense, they are like builders.

ADNAN OKTAR: They work simultaneously, using their heads, feet and bodies. When the worker’s wax-making period comes to an end, the structure of wax sacs on its stomach collapse and become just a flat layer of cells. The animal then stops secreting the substance.

ADNAN OKTAR: The platelets from the bee’s stomach are around 3 mm long and 0.1 mm thick. Some 80,000 platelets are needed for a single comb. The cell walls are always of the same thickness and always at an angle of 120 degrees to one another. There is never any deviation in the angles. The most perfect angles have been calculated, the most immaculate mathematical calculations. They always make them 120 degrees, never 130 degrees or 140 degrees. It is always 120 degrees. It takes around 4 minutes for a bee to extract a wax platelet, chew it up and stick it to the comb. Some 150 bees have to work together to make 1 kg of wax. And they have to consume 6-8 kg of honey to make 1 kg of wax. Because they use the sugar contained in the honey in their secretor glands. Here is the animal’s sting…

REPORTER: The weapon they use against us?

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, on the underside.

REPORTER: So a tiny bee does everything you have described?

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, masha’Allah,

REPORTER: This indicates a glorious creation and majesty.

ADNAN OKTAR: Masha’Allah, these are those wax platelets. They check everything separately with those sensors. Honeybees’ eyes see extremely well. Then the babies have to be fed several times a day. They give them royal jelly one by one. After fattening them on royal jelly they then make bread for them. They then begin feeding them with that. In other words, miracle after miracle takes place. It is breathtaking. They first feed them with royal jelly, then with that bread.

REPORTER: Allah, Allah!

ADNAN OKTAR: How do they know the young will be fattened up and grow? How do they know the bread will fatten them up, the bee bread? That is why they feed them on that.

REPORTER: So these tiny animals are just one proof of an immaculate creation?

ADNAN OKTAR: Wherever we look we see these marvels of Allah. They post sentries on both sides of the hive. They do not allow any foreign bees in. They immediately recognize intruders and jump on them. If an intruder bee refuses to leave they poison and kill it. If they cannot expel the body, if it is very heavy, they cover it in a substance that has antibiotic properties, and the animal is preserved without going off. If the hive overheats they begin beating their wings together to cool it down. They stop the honey melting.

REPORTER: Allah, Allah!

ADNAN OKTAR: It is delightful how they are so altruistic, so industrious, so well behaved and so cute. Their venom is another matter. They head straight for whatever it is they have taken a dislike to...

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KRAL KARADENIZ TV (27 March 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, bees are really sweet creatures. And look at from close up with all that fur. And they are really well behaved and brought up. Take the combs. They begin in the different corners. They build those famous, tiny hexagons, fill them up and move on. Then work inward from the four corners and meet in the middle.

REPORTER: So nobody needs to tell them to stop as it has gone wrong.

ADNAN OKTAR: This is a very great miracle. Look, they start from four different corners and the hexagons, entirely regular and perfect, meet in the middle. It is perfect. The angles are perfect and they fill the cells up perfectly with honey. They fill them up in such a way that they never overflow. They put a little bit and then smear, and put a little bit more and when they are entirely full they close them up.

REPORTER: One could not do as good a job even using a pencil.

ADNAN OKTAR: That is impossible. It would be impossible to get those angles right. The angles of those hexagons. They have no compasses or set squares, no protractors, nothing. How could we do that?

REPORTER: Where did they learn that from?

ADNAN OKTAR: Masha’Allah, Alhamdulillah. This is a great miracle. Allah says that He has revealed it.

REPORTER: The systems in their own bodies, their working systems, it is very interesting.

ADNAN OKTAR: Builders are like that. They use gravel and this and that, but they still cannot get the angles exactly spot on. They are razor-sharp. They have to use really precise equipment. Otherwise it is impossible to get the angle spot on. Every each cell has the same perfect angles. They are all the same down to the last millimeter, and all have the same depth. The bees work just like architects, but the very best trained architects. The wax emerges in platelets from those sacs on their undersides. It is wonderfully organized. Then there is the venom to the rear. And if anyone tries to harm them they go in with the sting.

REPORTER: Do the honey and the venom never get mixed up?

ADNAN OKTAR: No. They make the honey perfect. They take the sugared water, the nectar, from the flowers and turn it into honey, and they store it away, bit by bit. And they make much more than they need, masha’Allah. They only need a very small part of it.

REPORTER: Yes.

ADNAN OKTAR: They way they feed their young is something else. They keep tabs on each and every one. They become fully grown at just the right moment, masha’Allah, and develop very fast. Every state of these sweet animals, everything about them, is a miracle. They show each other in which direction flowers lie by dancing. Their fellow bees gather around them. The bee then performs a special dance taking the Sun as their reference point. This has been comprehensively established by scientists, who have filmed how they do it. Anyone logging on to the relevant section of the www.harunyahya.org web site can see this. There are films taken by scientists, by biologists or zoologists, or entomologists. If you teach that dance to a human being, tell him, he would not be able to do it. But those animals go off and locate the flowers through that dance, by dancing. There are so many marvelous things about bees, not just one or two. For example, if a hornet gets into the hive...

REPORTER: Or their ways of communicating.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, when they realize there is going to be a hornet attack, which they can tell from the scent the hornet brings with it, they all gather around it and vibrate their bodies, thus raising their body temperatures. The temperature in the hive goes up enormously and the hornet is unable to withstand it and dies. Just look at the technique.

REPORTER: Yes.

ADNAN OKTAR: If they cannot throw the dead body out, they cover it in an antiseptic substance. They mummify it so it does not rot and decay there.

REPORTER: Yes.

ADNAN OKTAR: I could go on listing these marvels of bees until morning. Their brains are no larger than the head of a pin, or even smaller. Their brains are really tiny. Yet they perform marvels. Allah uses them as His instrument, masha’Allah.

REPORTER: The program given them is flawless.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, masha’Allah.

REPORTER: That communication among them is very interesting. If I am not mistaken, this should be the case with butterflies; scientists have eliminated all external factors when they need to reach a target flower, but they still both make their way to it in time.

ADNAN OKTAR: And honey bees are really cute to look at. Their eyes are made up of thousands of cells, each with a separate lens and incredibly regular. They are really top-quality lenses. The images are collected really well, all the images are collected, inverse images are restored the right way round in that lovely brain and then the animal begins seeing really well. Its external appearance is really stunning. And that tiny proboscis and everything.

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KRAL KARADENIZ TV (20 February 2009)

For example, they post two sentry bees at the mouth of the hive to check whether any foreign insects are trying to get in or not. It is astonishing; they even recognize bees from other hives. Strangers shall not enter; foreign insects or anything else shall not enter. If an insect does enter in any way, they destroy it there. If they can expel it, they do so, if not, they secret a resinous, antibiotic substance and cover it with it, using their own bodies. In other words, they cover the body of the intruder with a substance that prevents it from rotting. For example, flowers will be at different distances. They may be 400-500 meters away or 1 km. The bee will come from there and bees will gather around it.

They first surround the bee, which then commences its display. Its dance is directly aimed toward the Sun, and through the measurements contained within the dance it reports the angle of the location of the flowers, their distance and direction. The bees then go and readily find them. This was established as the result of wide-ranging scientific research by foreign professors. For example, wax emerges from the animal’s underside in the form of platelets. It comes out in blocks, rather like a pressed wood factory. The animal then shapes, cuts up and molds these to produce what we know as bees’ wax. They make those tiny cells with their perfect angles, those hexagonal cells. For instance they have a separate way of feeding their young; they feed them with royal jelly, and check them out every day. They know what they need to be given. They give them royal jelly, while they use their stings to poison enemies. Look, they identify the enemy; they give poison to the enemy but royal jelly to the young. And they feed the young with great care. They do not miss even one of them, there are many young. None of their offspring go hungry. They absolutely feed them with certain intervals. A human being would become terribly confused in all the incubation chambers. One would forget the feeding routine, but these animals do not. There are so many marvelous aspects of these animals that there is really no end to them. There is ventilation in the hive, for instance, as they all beat their wings together.

And there is air-conditioning. This is also astonishing. The list of marvels is endless. The animal is a miracle from top to bottom. Its eyes are a miracle of their own; the structure of their eyes is another miracle. The honey they make is so lovely and delicious and they provide the right viscosity. Normally, if we were to take nectar from plants and store it, it would just go off. But the honey that forms in the bee’s body never goes off. You can keep it as long as you like. That is another miracle. [It reveals] The wisdom of Allah.

13- THE ATOM

ADNAN OKTAR’S TEMPO TV INTERVIEW (31 March 2009)

There are protons and neutrons in the nuclei of atoms. As we can see from the name, neutrons have a neutral charge, while protons have a positive charge. Electrons revolve in their external orbits, but at an unbelievable speed and regularity, never hitting one another.

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course. There is a glorious mathematical system. I mean, for instance, a hundred electrons may revolve around the nucleus but never bang into one another. The nucleus and electrons should normally amalgamate together. The protons and electrons should stick together. People claim that the centrifugal force arising as they revolve at high speed stops them doing that. OK, let us accept that centrifugal force stops them all colliding together, but I in my opinion it is created as a miracle. This is not a reasonable explanation. Not reasonable at all.

ADNAN OKTAR: For one thing, there is no explanation for the energy involved in their revolving around one another for millions of years. This is a huge miracle. They have been revolving round one another as long as the Earth has been around. The process started and the revolution has been continuing, magnificently and at the very highest speed, ever since. They orbit at a speed of 50,000 revolutions a second. That means a huge force, and they never stray from their paths. Let us consider the iron atom. Someone hits it with a hammer. Under normal conditions the electrons in it should fly apart under the effect of centrifugal force. But in no way does it get affected by it. Allah has brought it into being with a huge power. There is a complete void between them. Indeed, that is what scientists say. They say that the eye perceives matter as a solid whole, but that is not actually the case at all. Scientists say that matter is transparent. Because there is so much empty space between the proton and the nucleus, between the nucleus and the electron. It is as if the nucleus is here and the electron is as far away as the Bahçelievler district of Istanbul [2 different locations one on the Asian and the other on the European Side of Istanbul]. That is the kind of amazing distance. That is why matter in fact has a transparent structure. Scientists say we can effectively disregard what is on the outside; it is 99.9% empty. But scientists say the eye perceives it as solid. They say there is no light outside [of our brains]. Only light waves. But that is how the eye perceives it, they say. How the brain perceives it. They say there is no sound on the outside [of our brains], only sound waves. But that is again how the brain perceives it. That is how it perceives matter. And they say there is no time on the outside. That is just how the brain perceives time, they say. There is also no time outside. That establishes a really marvelous and metaphysical state of affairs. It is really, really astonishing. This regularity in the atom, this extraordinary effort it makes which has no petrol or anything to run on. Atoms receive no energy from anywhere. They have been set in motion and never stray from their paths. How can this happen? Eighty or ninety electrons all revolve around a tiny nucleus, 50,000 times a second, at a speed of thousands of kilometers an hour. But they never normally hit one another. All people regard this as if this is something very ordinary. Just a single atom is a very great miracle. For instance, we are currently touching this object. But touching is not possible. There is actually no touching going on at all. There is repulsion in the structure of atoms. When we touch something, for instance, the electrons in our finger tips and those out there repel one another. But we never make direct contact with what we are touching. This feeling of touch stems from one of repulsion. That is, it stems from repulsion. We perceive that feeling of touch because of repulsion. This is not something that is very well known. In other words, no two pieces of matter can touch one another, as they repel one another. We touched here, a sensation of touch formed, but that stemmed from repulsion. It stems from a powerful sense of repulsion. We imagine we touch things. But we really don’t. Allah has created such wondrous things to bring this about. If people could see at the very smallest, most minute level, just the structure of the atom would easily be sufficient to lead people to faith.

ADNAN OKTAR’S VATAN TV INTERVIEW (2 April 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: And this shows the system of the atom. Look, there are protons and neutrons at its center. The electrons revolve around it. They go round it 50,000 times a second. They revolve at a speed of 150 thousand km/hour. People talk about that as if it is something very simple. But they have been moving at the same amazing speed since the world was created. They have no petrol or diesel or electricity or anything else. They continue within that force that Allah has given them, and will do so until Doomsday. Protons and neutrons hold onto one another. Meanwhile, there are tiny sub-particles that join them to one another. There may be up to 100 electrons, more than 100. But they all keep moving at that incredible speed of 50,000 km/hour, going around 50 thousand times at a speed of 150 thousand kilometers and never crash into one another.

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON EKIN TV (19 January 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, the atom. Now, it has a nucleus in the center. Let us imagine there is a small melon here and an electron in the Silivri district of Istanbul whizzing round it 50,000 times a second, and it never strays from its path, not even if you hit it with a hammer. Think of the size of the atom and the power of its energy. It goes around the nucleus 50,000 times a second and not even a hammer blow is enough to put it off course. That alone is a very, very great miracle. Because it is a very delicate matter. Why should the electron revolve? Why should it go round 50,000 times? Why should it be so tightly bound to the nucleus? And where does its energy come from? The electron has been revolving for millions of years, and it keeps on turning.

REPORTER: Do you think it is a repetition of the name of Allah?

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course. Almighty Allah tells us that we cannot hear it, but every living thing repeats the name of Allah.

17- THE HUMMING BIRD

ADNAN OKTAR’S AKS TV INTERVIEW (14 April 2009)

REPORTER: ... We recently screened an image concerning the golden ratio, and even I was hugely impressed by it. We now have an image about a humming bird. Let us show that, insha’Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, that would be very good, insha’Allah.

REPORTER: Then we can talk about it.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes.

REPORTER: If it is ready they can flash it up.

ADNAN OKTAR: Look, look, look at that creature. Look at all that hard work. This is something truly splendid. It beats its wings 50-80 times a second. They move at a speed of 90 km/hour.

REPORTER: Amazing.

ADNAN OKTAR: It is no bigger than my hand.

REPORTER: Yes, yes.

ADNAN OKTAR: It has the feature of being able to fly upside down, stop still in the air then make a U-turn dive to the ground and suddenly pull out. The animal is like a jet plane. It can fly sideways or upside down, or suddenly stop and pull out of a dive. Masha’Allah. The calorie it uses in a day is the equivalent to what a human being would receive from 1300 hamburgers.

REPORTER: Effort...

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, stunning. Scientists say that if we were to expend an equivalent amount of energy our hearts would beat 1260 times a minute and our body temperatures would rise to 385 degrees. In other words, a human being would just burn up, they say.

REPORTER: Yes, yes.

ADNAN OKTAR: They are very sweet creatures. And really tiny.

REPORTER: And it can perform all kinds of maneuvers.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes. Masha’Allah. They are highly atttractive, too. Masha’Allah.

REPORTER: Very interesting.

ADNAN OKTAR: Masha’Allah.

18- THE SPIDER

ADNAN OKTAR'S LIVE INTERVIEW ON TEMPO TV (3 March 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: ... the spider is a marvelous animal, of course. Really astonishing. It produces a different silk for every activity. That is how Almighty Allah has ordained it.

PRESENTER: Yes.

ADNAN OKTAR: Look how it says that in spinning its web a garden spider uses silk with 4-5 different properties. These include threads the spider climbs up and down, as if on an elevator and uses as a bridge, and the basic web silk that represents the skeleton of the structure and is much thicker and stronger.

PRESENTER: Yes.

ADNAN OKTAR: Then there are the sticky threads that make it possible to trap the prey, which have properties all their own. These are all secreted separately but inside the spider’s body. Then we have the threads and bind the branches of the web together and also thread that connects two separate webs.

PRESENTER: Yes.

ADNAN OKTAR: That is also secreted separately. Then there are the threads used to wrap the prey up once it is caught. There are the threads used to make the spider’s own nest, and also those that constitute the egg sacs and threads that protect the baby spiders from external dangers.

PRESENTER: Yes.

ADNAN OKTAR: Now the animal knows for which purpose every each thread is used respectively. It says this one is for the web, and uses it accordingly. Then it uses different silks to climb up and down, to build the web skeleton, to catch its prey, to wrap it up, to build its nest and for the egg sacs. A normal human being would have difficulty doing all that.

PRESENTER: Absolutely.

ADNAN OKTAR: Look at this photo of a spider’s web. Notice the parallelism.

PRESENTER: It is true, there is…

ADNAN OKTAR: There are gaps between the fibers. Everything is very regular. Then it comes and squats in the middle. It is very clever, in other words. And the web is so detailed. Just notice the parallelism in the cross-struts.

PRESENTER: There must be something mathematical here, some kind of measure.

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course, it takes the very greatest care in making them all the same. For example, this...

PRESENTER: Something to ensure stability…

ADNAN OKTAR: In the same way that the branches of a tree are arranged so as not to snap off in a storm. The spiders exhibit the same parallelism. We could never make anything so regular if we were given the silk. We could never put the cross-struts in, as these are put in where they touch. Bonds are established to hold them all together, in other words.

PRESENTER: There is architectural artistry.

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course this needs a very good technology. Imagine that human beings were spiders and that you told them to build these links in such a parallel way. And yet the animal constructs it all so fast. That is very significant. As if it were putting it all together by hand. It works with such expertise, so easily.

PRESENTER: Yes.

ADNAN OKTAR: It is a miracle in that respect. The world of the spider is a totally different one. The creature is even cleverer than that. It weaves itself a web like an umbrella and throws it over the prey when it sees it, thus smothering it. So this is a spider with a trap. It traps its prey and then it goes and wraps the prey up. It, for instance, watches it. A system has been established whereby it traps it by the head. The trapdoor spider, this is. It knows the prey cannot escape. No human being could do this, like a fisherman catching prey, in the absence of an extraordinary intelligence and reason. You know the trouble we have in even catching a fly. The fly does not let itself be caught easily, but these creatures have no chance of escaping the spider, once they are caught in the web, that is that.

ADNAN OKTAR: And the animal makes its web so robust, masha’Allah. The Dupont company has produced various artificial threads on the basis of the chemical formulae in spider silk by determining the molecular sequences in the molecules constituting the silk. This product, known as Kevlar, is the most advanced organic fiber produced artificially so far to date. As you know, it is used in the production of protective gear for the military and police. It is a bullet-proof material.

PRESENTER: Yes.

ADNAN OKTAR: Look, the spider knows this, but human beings do not. It is such a strong material. Kevlar has shock-absorbing properties, thanks to which it reduces the force of impact of the bullet. This is a highly significant development in terms of technology, and also a most useful one. Because it is very light. But despite all these superior features, Kevlar fiber is only one-third as shock-absorbent as spider silk. Look, the spider makes it more perfectly, in other words, human beings are unable to replicate it.

PRESENTER: Yes.

ADNAN OKTAR: This file alone is full of marvels concerning the spider.

PRESENTER: That is true.

ADNAN OKTAR: There is no end to them, masha’Allah.

PRESENTER: There are true marvels in all animals; there is the way that ants can carry many times their own weight, or the way bees navigate. But what counts is to be able to see them.

ADNAN OKTAR: Masha’Allah

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KRAL KARADENİZ TV (20 February 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: The spider, of course, is a very delightful animal. It has a silk for all occasions, as you know. Allah gave it the requisite silk quality. It uses one thread for building the web and another for wrapping its prey up. Not just one thread, in other words. Many people have seen them descending on their threads. And then they suddenly begin climbing up again. Look, it is secreting its silk. The silk is liquid in state when it is first secreted. It should normally break as a liquid, but it then freezes as soon as it emerges. This is something very odd, how it suddenly solidifies, as soon as it appears. If it were a liquid it could not bear the animal’s weight, and it would fall off. But since it solidifies as soon as it emerges the result is a thread as strong as steel and highly reliable. If it perceives a danger it starts climbing back up again, using the same thread. It climbs up by consuming the thread. What a speed!...

19- SHADOW; ONE EXAMPLE OF ALLAH’S ARTISTRY OF DETAIL

ADNAN OKTAR’S KANAL 35 INTERVIEW (1 February 2009)

This is such a powerful artistry. Shadow is created separately, and light is created separately. That is set out in the Qur’an. Shadow is created separately. People imagine that shadow forms because of light, but they are created separately. Allah creates light and shadow separately. Shadow is an independent artistry of Allah. The shape of an object is determined by shadow. The result would be something very different if there were no shadow. The perception of depth and many other beauties are due to shadow, in other words. Otherwise there would be just one flat plane. It would be useful for this to be generally borne in mind. But forgetting it is no crime either, to forget is human. But it is a crime to forget Allah. We must never forget Him. We must always know that Allah creates all things.

20 - THE BUTTERFLY

ADNAN OKTAR’S VATAN TV INTERVIEW (2 April 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, they are similar, but not identical. This is a separate decoration.

ADNAN OKTAR: There are thousands of these. These will be the adornments of Paradise, insha’Allah. They will wander around like tiny lambs. But the fact they will be rational as well is a great blessing.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, masha’Allah. Look, Allah shows how He has created them in such detail, color and beauty. Allah manifests Himself in them so that we love Him. This is a very delicate beauty and these things are all coded within the chromosome structure. They are coded exactly. These things are even encoded in their fur.
(it moves on to marine creatures)

REPORTER: Right. Shall we move on or else stick with these beauties?

ADNAN OKTAR: Let us move on.

REPORTER: There is so much more we have not seen.

ADNAN OKTAR: These creatures are in the sea.

REPORTER: What are they? Are they a separate life form?

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, these are small marine creatures.

REPORTER: Do they have a name, or have they not yet been identified?

ADNAN OKTAR: They have names, various names.

21- MARINE LIFE FORMS

ADNAN OKTAR’S VATAN TV INTERVIEW (2 April 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, these are very small marine life forms.

REPORTER: Do they have a name, or have they not yet been identified?

ADNAN OKTAR: They have names, various names.

REPORTER: Yes, viewers. We have cited a number of examples of bird species and marine life forms so carefully prepared by Adnan Hodja.

22- THE MIRACLE IN DATES

ADNAN OKTAR’S DENGE TV INTERVIEW (9 December 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Allah creates specially in order for us to see the fine detail. That is something required by our respect for Allah. Allah encodes all the properties of the date in the most glorious details inside its chromosomes, its taste, sweetness, perfection, smell, the shape of the date palm and how much fruit it will bear, and how it will shape in the next generations all within the tiny thread of the chromosome, inside a minute cell. And it contains millions of pieces of data.

23- THE MIRACLE IN THE SNOWFLAKE

ADNAN OKTAR’S VATAN TV INTERVIEW (2 April 2009)

REPORTER: What is this?

ADNAN OKTAR: It is also a snowflake…

REPORTER: Does every snowflake come in a different shape?

ADNAN OKTAR: They are all different. Not one resembles any other. Look...

REPORTER: Yes.

ADNAN OKTAR: The way that no snowflake is the same as any other is a great miracle and the artistry of Allah.

REPORTER: These are snowflakes, magnified several times, presumably photographs.

ADNAN OKTAR: They are around 1 cm across. I could show many, many examples. Let me show a few more.

REPORTER: Yes, another example of a snowflake.

ADNAN OKTAR: Look, it is as if it were made out of crystal. It is incredibly regular, with whatever is on one side also being on the other.

REPORTER: Can we say there are an infinite number of snowflakes all different from one another?

ADNAN OKTAR: Each one is different, and that is a great miracle. The wisdom of Allah. In the same way that all human beings look different, so no snow flake is the same with any other.

REPORTER: There are resemblances between people, albeit slight ones. But their finger prints still differ. I guess it is something like that.

ADNAN OKTAR: It is approximately like that, but they do not resemble one another exactly. This is, for instance, another adornment.

24- INSTINCT

ADNAN OKTAR'S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KAÇKAR TV (29 January 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Instinct; its real name is inspiration, of course. It is Allah’s revelation. Allah placed such a code in their souls. That code is total revelation; it is Allah’s inspiration in them. For example, one can see unbelievably intelligent properties in ants. One can see breathtaking intelligent characteristics in the spider, features absent from human beings. They possess an ability lacking in human beings. Bees have an intelligence far, far more advanced than that in human beings, in some matter, some superior features. This of course comes about by revelation. Allah has made this crystal clear in the Qur’an. He says, (I take refuge in Allah from satan), that He has revealed things to the honey bee, meaning He reveals things to all living entities.

25- RELIGIOUS SCIENTISTS AND ARTISTS

ADNAN OKTAR’S CAY TV INTERVIEW (15 April 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Allah manifests His existence in all its might and glory. For example, He has created the entire universe of a proportion of 1.6. That is known as the golden ratio. We see it wherever we look. He has created everywhere with a glorious mathematical system. Scientists also look and see Allah everywhere in the universal system, and they all believe. Let me give a few examples. The famous German physicist Max Planck developed Quantum Theory. He discovered Planck’s light quanta through his own research into the laws of thermodynamics. He is very famous. I can even describe him as the founder of modern physics. Together with Einstein. Look what he says: “Anyone who takes a serious interest in science, in whatever field, will read this inscription on the temple of science; ‘Have faith. Faith is an indispensable quality for scientists’.” Who says that? Max Planck, the founder of modern physics. Musicians and artists are all lovers of Allah. Mozart, for instance, the famous composer Mozart. “No matter how odd Allah’s creation may appear, it is absolutely for the best. No doctor, person or accident can give or take life. Only Allah gives and takes life.” Look how he says that no doctor or anyone else can give or take life. “Let us surrender entirely for Allah’s approval” he says. What an excellent style. “Let us surrender entirely for Allah’s approval, for that is the best thing for us. What Allah creates is the most beautiful.” Mozart. People who believe in Allah produce artists, true artists. But look, people like Mozart no longer emerge. Why not? Because people are raised as atheists and Darwinists. Albert Einstein, for instance, one of the two founders of modern physics, says: “I cannot imagine a true scientist who has no profound faith. We can express the position thus. A science with no religion is lame.” He says: “Everyone seriously engaged in science is convinced of the existence of a spirit in the laws of nature, that there is a spirit superior to human beings, in other words of the existence of Allah. That is why engaging in science leads the way to religion.” He brings it round to belief in Allah, he says.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, of course. As you know, Keppler was one of the founders of astronomy. “Since, according to the book of nature, we astronomers are the priests of Almighty Allah, we must talk of His glory.” Genuine physicists, scientists and researchers all believe in Allah. Newton, the famous Newton, is one of the best known scientists of all times, as you know. But look how he talks like a mystic. “Allah is eternal and absolute, His power is unbounded, and He knows all things. His existence is eternal and He rules all things. He knows all that has been done and that will be done. He is infinite and eternal; His being and existence are infinite and eternal. He exists in all places. Through His existence in all times and places, He creates all times and spaces. We recognize Him through His rational and most perfect mastery, and we respect and believe in Him as His servants.” Look, hundreds of scientists, not just one or two, share the same opinion. There is Stephen Hawking, the one with the crippling disease. From what I hear, the British cosmologist can only move a few fingers. That is the condition he is in. He used to be an atheist. But now look what he says, look where science has led him: the latest thing he said was, “The God I found through the path of science and the powers within me is the absolute Creator.” Masha’Allah. Look, he was known as an atheist until recently. His research and the scientific evidence have brought him to this point. “The sole creator, is a technical power with no equal or counterpart, that is above all else,” in other words, Allah. “The laws of physics are a language in which Allah tells us of the creation of the universe,” he says. All rational scientists are lovers of Allah. That is why, I take refuge in Allah from satan, Allah says in the Qur’an that all those possessed of knowledge fear Him. People who research and investigate. For example, someone looks at the structure of chromosomes and is amazed, and has faith. Someone else looks at space and believes. For instance, the erstwhile notorious British atheist Anthony Flew. Everyone knows him, all the intellectual types and the Turkish public. “DNA research shows the Creator behind creation,” he says. Look, he came to see the existence of Allah from DNA. From the DNA in the cell. “DNA research shows the Creator behind creation.” Research by biologists shows an almost unbelievable sequencing in DNA, because it has such a glorious structure. Imagine a giant library, a huge official state library; this library is filled in a single DNA. In other words, all the information is of a mathematical regularity. It is technically impossible for that to come about by chance. Let us imagine we take four buckets, fill them up with plastic letters and scatter them around on the street and that the result is an encyclopedia’s worth of information. That is just as impossible as it is for DNA to form by chance. In other words, it is impossible to produce an encyclopedia by randomly scattering letters around, and it is equally impossible for DNA to form by chance. People come to believe when they see this. The unbelievable sequence in DNA, this incredible sequence, its absolute necessity for life to exist, makes the existence of a Creator essential. There is no other possibility than the absolute existence of Allah. It can only be explained by the existence of Allah. He says that people may previously have been influenced by him, may have been atheists with no religion. He says he will do all he can to make good the damage he has done. He says he will try to rectify his shame before Allah. For example, Francis Collins, the director of the Human Genome Project, came to believe in Allah by way of the information about DNA he obtained within the framework of that project. Look what he says about his assuming responsibility for the project: “This was a task given me by Allah.” Masha’Allah, look at this heroic brother of ours. This is what he says about other scientists: “Many scientists believe in Allah but prefer to remain silent on the subject.” That is what we see in Turkey, too. “Many scientists believe in Allah but prefer to remain silent on the subject, out of a worry about what people will think. I was once an atheist, too, but I was amazed by the proofs of Allah’s existence I found in nature.” Almighty Allah says in one verse that wherever you look you will see His proofs, and that there is no end to them. Neither can you ever come to the end of Allah’s blessings if you count them in whole groups or blocs, He says. These are rational people come to believe in Allah when they see these, masha’Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR'S LIVE INTERVIEW ON TEMPO TV (3 December 2008)

ADNAN OKTAR: ...looked at rationally, we see that science and the Qur’an go hand in hand. The Qur’an always shows the way for science. That is, the Qur’an wants science to grow deeper, expand and be ever more detailed. And the Qur’an constantly encourages us to investigate. It encourages us to travel, reflect and take note. The result, when we combine science and faith, is a quite perfect structure. We then see the artistry of Allah. We see its beauties. We see the perfect system created by Allah. We see the perfection in the structure of the cell, for instance. Each one of the hair in an animal skin contains all the characteristics of that animal encoded within it, and there are millions of such hairs with the features of the animal coded inside them. This is something utterly perfect and revealed by science. Electron microscopes reveal it, biomathematics reveals it. The more science advances, the more we see Allah’s artistry. Looking at paleontology, for example, we see 100 million fossils that prove the fact of creation. As excavations are carried out we see from fossils that animals have never changed. The cat has always been a cat, and the lion has always been a lion, and they have never changed. We see that no living thing has ever changed over 100, 200 or 300 million years. But there are 100 million fossils. That is something concerning the science of paleontology. We can only obtain such flawless information from paleontology. We also obtain flawless information from biomathematics. Science constantly shows Allah to us. It shows us Allah’s profundity and the perfection of His creation. The more we continue with such research, the more religious devotion becomes strong. Because when science and religion comes together, it impresses people even more. One of the results of this is our current success, although it is Allah Who actually brings that success about. He makes us His instrument.

The Turkish daily Radikal carried a report by Atalay Girgin on its website. In summary, Girgin interprets the belief in Allah in different forms and divides and says that Darwin opposed belief in Allah, the Creator of all things from nothing, the Almighty and the free of all imperfection.

Darwinism is certainly an ideology put forward in order to oppose belief in Allah and instill a heretical theory about how living things come into being into people’s minds. But the point needing to be clarified here is this; Darwinism is absolutely opposed to belief in Allah. Those who say ‘Allah created through evolution’ are mistaken. Darwinism unequivocally rejects the existence of a Creator (Allah is beyond this), and deifies chance instead. Atalay Girgin is mistaken on this subject. Further detail follows in this paper.

But first we need to consider the false belief in Allah that Atalay Girgin sets out in his article.

Almighty Allah is Omnipotent and Free of All Imperfections

Some people fall into error when they look at the climate of test in this world, and harbor doubts concerning it. The existence of imperfections as a requirement of that test, the existence of wicked people and bad behavior, the fact that the world and their own bodies are created with inherent weaknesses and the fact they have to spend their whole lives struggling against earthly desires lead these people to fail to appreciate Allah properly. People look at all this and fall into the error of thinking that Allah Who is free of all imperfection could never create such a life (Allah is beyond this). They imagine that the life of this world is the only one people have and fail to realize they are subjected to the test. Whereas our Lord has said:

He Who created death and life to test which of you is best in action. He is the Almighty, the Ever-Forgiving. (Surat al-Mulk, 2)

Allah expands provision to anyone He wills and restricts it. They rejoice in the life of this world. Yet the life of this world, compared to the Hereafter, is only fleeting enjoyment. (Surat ar-Ra’d, 26)

People enter this world in order to be tested. Everything they do, their every deed, thought or word will eventually be revealed in the presence of Allah. People are tested through what they do and will eventually inevitably die. The Hereafter, Paradise and Hell, will then be their eternal abode as a recompense in the sight of Allah for what they did.

As a requirement of this test, the life of this world has been created with deficiencies and weaknesses. This is Almighty Allah’s creative artistry. Allah, Who creates fruit of such beauty, with fresh scents and delicious flavors, from dirty soil, is certainly mighty enough to create all things to be perfect. Flaws exist so that people can be tested. Allah is mighty enough to create human beings to be free of disease and all imperfections, and they will certainly never fall ill in Paradise. Allah shows us an example of this in this world. Sharks never contract cancer, for instance. But human beings face the specter of cancer throughout their lives. If Allah so willed He could create human beings free of disease and afflictions. The fact that human beings are not created like that is so Allah can test them by seeing their attitude toward him. Those who harbor doubts regarding Allah’s sublime power and flawless Creation, who imagine this transient place of testing to be their true abode and who fail to recognize the hereafter, are mistaken when it comes to flaws and imperfections.

If Allah wills, He may test people through fears, difficulties and snares in this world. That is part of the test. All these things are created for the Hereafter, which is itself created to be perfect and flawless.

If Allah so willed, Allah could create us to be immortal. Allah shows us immortality in the life of the Hereafter. Paradise and Hell are eternal. People will taste immortality there. As revealed in the verse “He Who created death and life to test which of you is best in action. He is the Almighty, the Ever-Forgiving,” death exists for people to be tested.

In Paradise, everything is created to be perfect, in line with the Glory of Almighty Allah. There is no imperfection, weakness or flaw of any kind there. And there are no natural causes. Everything is created in the most perfect form at the moment of Allah’s choosing. It is enough for a person to imagine a thing for it to be created. Paradise is the place where our Great Lord’s names of Quddus (the immaculate, He Who is free of all imperfection) and Bari (He Who creates without error) are manifested.

Allah Shows the Magnificence of His Creation on Earth

Our Lord shows us countless proofs of His creation and of His omnipotence in this world. The most obvious evidence of this are living things. A single piece of DNA in a human cell is a wondrous miracle. Not one single protein can be artificially manufactured. Allah shows us how He can create from nothing and in perfect form through all the glory in an atom in a tiny speck of matter. Yet people generally ignore this wonder and are taken in by the deficiencies deliberately created for the test. But this is a terrible mistake to make.

There are examples of the glorious creative artistry of ALMIGHTY ALLAH, THE OMNIPOTENT, in the equilibrium in the vastness of the universe, the way the planets remain in their orbits, in the balances that are instrumental in the presence of life on Earth, in the existence of a single cell, in the amazing systems in all the different forms of life, in the human body, in the heart that beats at every moment, in the kidneys that perform in seconds functions beyond the capacities of machines the size of entire rooms, in the brain, the secrets of which nobody has been able to unravel, and in the soul that is inspired by Allah and loves, thinks, understands, rejoices and longs.

Our Lord tells us in one verse:

He is Allah – the Creator, the Maker, the Giver of Form. To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. Everything in the heavens and Earth glorifies Him. He is the Almighty, the All-Wise. (Surat al-Hashr, 24)

Good and Bad Are Set out in the Qur’an and People Are Tested through Them

Allah has created the entire universe, the Earth and everything on it. This world is a place of testing. Allah is of course mighty enough to rule this place of testing He created in the form He wills. The claims made by Girgin and others who harbor doubts on the subject are therefore invalid. As the Creator and Lord of all things, Allah makes such actions as He wills lawful or unlawful, in the manner and at the time He wills. The fact that the behavior of the Prophet Adem (as) and his children was not unlawful at the time but is now unlawful in the eyes of the Qur’an is so because that is what Allah has ordained.

Whether they wish or not, people are subjected to testing in this environment created by Allah, and are responsible for all the lawful or unlawful deeds, as revealed in the Qur’an, they commit. People’s questioning this changes nothing (Allah is beyond this). They will still be held responsible for everything they should have done according to the Qur’an and will be held to account for all their actions.

Darwinism Is a Pagan Religion That Denies Allah

Darwinism is founded on denial of Allah. In deceiving huge masses of people, it set up the false deity of chance and sought to turn people away from belief in Allah. In saying that he felt as if he were confessing a murder , Darwin knew that his theory was a source of irreligiousness, denial of Allah and heresy. Darwin is the founder of the system of the Dajjal that has inflicted atheism, wars, terrorism, genocide, perverted ideologies such as communism and fascism, moral degeneration, lovelessness, hatred and anger on the world.

Seeing the present collapse of their theory, some Darwinists have come up with the idea that Allah uses evolution as an instrument in Creation, in order to attract support from people who are becoming ever more aware and devout. But this is a monstrous lie. The false deity of Darwinism is chance. And the ideology of Darwinism is unequivocally founded on denial of Allah (Allah is beyond this). (Click HERE for more detail.)

People who properly appreciate Allah and who are aware of His sublime might and power will naturally react against Darwinism. Since Darwinism is founded upon denial of Allah, true believers will naturally do all they can to crush this heretical religion. And this important work has borne fruit. This heretical faith known as Darwinism has collapsed. The worst mass deception of the century, perpetrated under the name of science, has collapsed in the face of concrete and incontrovertible scientific evidence. People have seen for themselves that living things have not evolved, but have remained unchanged over millions of years. More than 100 million fossils have proved Creation. That is why Darwinists are now in such a panic.

Conclusion: Proper Appreciation of Allah’s Omnipotence

Our Lord is He Who is mighty enough to do anything, the Lord of all, He Who can create in perfect forms. Our Lord is free of all imperfection. Human beings experience imperfection, and needs and helplessness in this world, but Allah is the Lord of all, in perfection and eternity, and is free from all imperfection. He creates all these. Our Lord is aware of all that His servants do. He has created them all. He has appointed destinies for them all. All His servants live according to the destinies ordained and created by Almighty Allah in this world.

Darwin tried to eradicate belief in Allah. In doing so, he wreaked terrible harm of society and mankind. And that is also destiny, of course. As a requirement of the destiny created by Allah, Darwin has failed and been defeated. Masses of people have abandoned Darwinism and begun turning to Allah. The number of people converting to Islam has risen 10-fold in Britain, Darwin’s homeland, and that is also ordained in destiny. The reason is this; Allah’s glorious and sublime art of Creation is plain for all to see. As they are freed from the blinkers that Darwinism had placed them in, they have begun seeing this manifest Creation. They have realized that a glorious Creation is on display on Earth, that they are not created for no purpose, that they are living temporary lives that will come to an end with death, that they are entities with souls that will live for ever in the Hereafter, and that they will have to account for themselves to our Lord. That is why such vast numbers of people are turning to belief in Allah. As Girgin says in his article, “YET the light of reason and science has not been lost on a great many people.” These people with enlightened minds have seen that Darwinism is utter nonsense. They have seen that never again can they be deceived by the heretical religion of Darwinism and the only entity that creates from nothing is Our Lord, Almighty Allah. The light of reason and science has enabled them to see the truth.

Our advice to Atalay Girgin is that he must realize that the mass of people in the world have seen the truth and that he liberate himself from the false influence of Darwinism without further loss of time.

COULD THE CRISIS IN THE GLOBAL ECONOMY BE ONE OF THE SIGNS OF THE END TIMES?

The beginning of October saw the beginning of a historic crisis in the world economy, and in the USA in particular, that had long since been sending signals of its impending arrival. A number of experts and analysts predict that this crisis could even dwarf the Great Depression that began in the 1920 and continued throughout the 1930s.
However, in addition to its economic aspect, there is another side to this crisis that is prompting various countries to take joint decisions and implement precautionary measures. This crisis may be a sign of important events due to take place in the next period of world history. (Allah knows the truth.)

The hadith of our Prophet (saas) contain much detailed information and many signs about the End Times that will take place close to Doomsday. According to the information provided by our Prophet (saas), a great many significant events will take place – one after the other – in this period. The growth of corruption, unlawful things being regarded as lawful, worldwide confusion and chaos, the Iran-Iraq War and the invasion of Afghanistan are some of these signs reported in the hadith and that have recently been taking place.

The economic crisis that will take place at a specific time in the End Times is, according to various accounts, a most significant portent that will take place immediately before the return to Earth of the Prophet ‘Isa (as) and the coming of the blessed Mahdi and the Dajjal. Indeed, the economic collapse that has been anticipated for some time and that has affected the whole world economy, starting from America in early October, shows that another portent of the End Times we are living in has taken place. (Allah knows the truth.)

As revealed in the hadith of our Prophet (saas), the worsening of the global economic outlook is one of the portents of the End Times that are currently taking place one after the other.
“What are they awaiting but for the Hour to come upon them suddenly? Its Signs have already come. What good will their Reminder be to them when it does arrive?” (Surah Muhammad, 18)

How Do the Hadith of Our Prophet (saas) State That the Economic Outlook Will Worsen?

Economic problems are one of the most discussed issues today. A great many people in the world are living at the poverty threshold and many countries of the world could not survive without external aid. But aid by itself is not enough, because the countries in question face greater problems due to an inability to pay the interest accruing from that aid.

There is an economic bottleneck in all countries today, from the richest to the poorest, and unemployment is on the rise. On the one hand there is great wealth, waste and squandering, and all forms of degeneration resulting from this, while on the other hand people come to blows over a crust of bread. Articles are always being written and symposiums and meetings held on the subject, but no permanent answer can be found; indeed, hunger and poverty are increasing by the day.

The continuing collapse of global markets despite the precautionary measures in central banks and rescue packages announced in various regions of the world, from Frankfurt to Washington, and from Hong Kong to London, caused a loss of more than $4 trillion in the financial markets within one week. www.patronlardunyasi.com/ news_detail.php?id=51295

The crisis that began in the USA in October has not affected that country alone; it has turned into a global crisis that has rocked all the economic markets across the world, from Britain to Germany and from France to Russia and the Far East. Poverty has stopped being a problem of concern to only certain countries in the world and has become a danger threatening societies in modern countries, too. But this latest instability in the global economy has a far greater importance than that of the economic. Some 1400 years ago, our Prophet (saas) revealed in the hadith that the economy would be generally impaired during the End Times, and described this as a portent that would take place before the coming of the Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.) and the Mahdi. The hadith say:

Before the Mahdi appears, trade and roads between nations will be severed, and strife between people will grow. [i]
"Everyone complaining of low earning... The rich being respected for their money..."[ii]
"The markets being stilled, a decrease in earnings..." [iii]

What Is the Main Reason for the Crisis in Countries’ Economies?

The world has gone through several crises since that of 1929, in which business lost 72% of its value, or 60% of volume. The last 20 years (1990-2008) in particular have seen major crises closely connected to the economy today; the 1992 European crisis, the Mexican crisis, the Asian crisis, the Russian and Brazilian crises, the Argentinean crisis and the latest US crisis...

The factor triggering a crisis may differ from country to country, and may be internal or external. For example, a significant change in the domestic political balance, or an economic collapse in a field such as real-estate or the banking sector, which previously enjoyed an unlimited flow of capital, may trigger a crisis inside a country. However, whether it be the latest U.S. crisis or the crises in the economies of the other countries of the world, the fundamental cause of all crises is moral degeneration.

Moral degeneration such as corruption , unequal distribution of income, bribery, and people tending to – rather than production – based revenue (the interest system, in other words) lies at the heart of all such crises. These are all things forbidden by Allah.

People with no fear of Allah, who do not live according to His commandments, have no hesitations about going down unlawful paths. In a society that knows no moral bounds, that fails to admister justice and that acts solely for the sake of its own interests, the climate of confidence essential if the economy is to remain healthy disappears.

Crises will naturally follow on one another’s heels when there is no climate of confidence. In addition, the post-crisis period bring with it a time full of injustices. As with Argentina, which suffered an economic crisis in 2001, mass protests on the streets, acts of looting and pillaging and even the deaths of many people are all fundamentally the result of moral deficiencies.

The true solution, therefore, lies in abiding by the moral values of the Qur’an, which prohibits injustice, corruption and bribery and instead commands people to help one another, to aid the poor and orphaned, to give alms and to compete with one another in performing good deeds.

Everything is under the control of Allah. Believers who know this and have a sincere faith in Him submit to our Lord under all circumstances, material and physical, in the awareness that they are following their destinies. Allah has flawlessly created every detail from the creation of the world right up to Doomsday. Everything, including the latest economic crisis, is recorded in the book known as the "Lawh al-Mahfuz" [the Tablet of Allah’s Decrees]. Everything has already happened in a single moment in the sight of Allah, Who is unfettered by time and space. The timing and place of every event has already been ordained, as set out in the verse, “communication has its time, and you will certainly come to know.” (Surat al-An’am, 67)

THE GLOBAL IMPACTS OF THE ECONOMIC CRISIS

* In the middle of September (2008) the 158-year-old Lehman Brothers, America’s fourth largest investment bank, filed for bankruptcy as it was unable to weather the difficult conditions of the economic crisis.[iv]
* Merrill Lynch, the world’s largest investment bank, suffered losses of around $46 billion because of the global crisis. As a consequence of those losses, it was bought by Bank of America, the second-largest US bank.[v]
* Following the collapse of investment banks, the USA’s largest savings bank, Washington Mutual, filed for bankruptcy at the end of September (2008). This brought the number of banks folding in the USA since the beginning of 2008 to 13.[vi]
* According to a report by the US Department of Employment, the number of those losing their jobs in August stood at 73,000, compared to 159,000 in September. This figure, the worst redundancy level for the last 5 years, brought the total number of job losses for the preceding 9 months to 760,000.[vii]
* Japan, the world’s second-largest economy, has also been affected by the global crisis. Yamato Life Insurance, an insurance company dating back 98 years with debts totaling $2.7 billion, declared bankruptcy in October 2008. [viii]
* Iceland, standing in third place on the United Nations’ List of Most Prosperous Countries, has been severely affected by the economic crisis. The country was unable to meet its external debt, and its three largest banks, with total debts of 44 billion euros, were taken over.[ix] Long queues began forming in front of Icelandic bank branches.
* A public opinion poll in Belgium showed that 57% of the public were worried about their savings.[x]
* The Hertie retail chain, with 4,100 employees and 73 branches across Germany, declared bankruptcy in July 2008. The finance company affiliated to Hertie announced losses of 30 million euros. [xi]
* XL, Britain’s third largest tourism company with a fleet of 21 planes, went bankrupt in September 2008. British Airways also cited the crisis as the reason for making 1,200 employees redundant. [xii]

Natural Disasters Also Point to the End Times

It is a statistical fact that there has been an increase in the number and intensity of natural disasters in recent years. Disasters caused by the climate changes over the last 10 years are regarded as a turning point. It is very probable that the increasing numbers of natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, lightning strikes and floods are also portents of the End Times that will take place, according to the hadith of our Prophet (saas) near to Doomsday. (Allah knows best.)

Doomsday will not take place until 10 portents are seen. The tenth is a storm that will hurl people into the sea...[xiii]
Doomsday will not happen until these events occur ... earthquakes will increase... [xiv]
Doomsday will not happen until a fierce rain pours down that leaves no house or home standing. [xv]
Lightning strikes will so multiply as Doomsday approaches that people will say (to one another): “Who did it strike yesterday?” and they will answer, “It struck so-and-so yesterday.” [xvi]

Some of the natural disasters of the last 5 years:

* Various disasters have occurred in Asia and the Far East throughout the course of history. Terrible destruction has been caused by these, and vast numbers of people have lost their lives in them. However, the worst of these was the tsunami that struck South Asia on 26 December, 2004, costing the lives of more than 225,000 people.
* Hurricane Katrina that struck the US Gulf of Mexico in August 2005 wreaked terrible destruction in the region. The hurricane cost the lives of 1,836 people and caused damage estimated at $81.2 billion, making it the costliest natural disaster in American history.
* On 8 October, 2005, an earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale struck 95 kilometers to the east of Islamabad in Pakistan, costing 73,320 lives. A further 1,244 people lost their lives due to the quake in the Indian region of Kashmir.
* In June and July 2007, 1,750 died due to monsoon flooding in Afghanistan, China, India and Pakistan.
* The tropical storm Nargis that struck Myanmar in May 2008 resulted in the deaths or disappearance of more than 134,000 people. Another 2.5 million people were left in need by the storm.[xvii]
* Sixty-five thousand people were killed, 23,000 disappeared, 360,000 were injured and 5 million left homeless in an earthquake measuring 8.0 in China’s Sichuan province. The earthquake also caused damage totaling $9.6 billion in Sichuan alone.

The profound economic troubles caused by the interest system have manifested themselves in many countries, and the peoples of those countries are having to pay the heavy bill for them. Allah has made the solution to these difficulties, caused by personal interests and immoral earnings and that continue to plague many countries, quite clear in the Qur’an. Allah has made the unfair consumption of assets and wasteful use of existing resources unlawful, and forbids us to regard other people as worthless and inflict troubles upon them for the sake of our own interests. The solution to the problems in the economy is for an efficient, just and entrepreneurial social system in which everyone lives according to the moral values of the Qur’an.

As noted in this report, there are certainly very many apparent causes for the recent economic crisis. But the important thing here is that the dire state of the economy may be a portent of the End Times revealed in the hadith. (Allah knows the truth.) Because as with all events that take place in the world, it is Almighty Allah Who created the conditions and causes of the economic crisis happening today.

Some Hadith of our Prophet (saas) Regarding the Impairment of the Economy in the End Times:
            · Revenues will revolve around a few people, and those with limited incomes will fall into hunger and trouble. [xviii]
            · Everyone will complain of “being unable to earn and make ends meet.” [xix]
            · The poor will grow in number. [xx]
            · “Hunger and high costs of living will spread to the fullest extent.”[xxi]
            · When trade and roads are severed and corruption multiplies... [xxii]
            · Business becomes stagnant. Everyone will complain, “I cannot sell, or buy or earn anything.”[xxiii]

The great majority of Muslim countries both enjoy a geo-strategic advantage and also possess valuable energy resources and natural wealth, especially oil and natural gas.

Yet these resources and strategic advantages have not been properly exploited for hundreds of years, and Islamic countries have been unable to assume a leading role in the global economy, despite all the means at their disposal. Yet as economists have recently noted, this state of affairs is changing rapidly and the economic center of power is shifting from the West to the East. By Allah’s leave, the 21st century will see the strengthening of the economy in the Islamic world and Islamic countries shaping the global economy.

Qur’anic Moral Values Are the Only Source of Social Justice and Economic Stability

Since people who take the moral values of the Qur’an as their guide, act out of a fear of Allah, they strive not only for their own interests but for the interests and well-being of everyone. Because unity, togetherness, mutual aid and solidarity are very important in Islamic moral values. Nobody trespasses on anyone else’s rights, because Allah has forbidden such ugly behavior. No bounds are transgressed. No system that exhibits the injustice of atheism, that is based on self-interest, in which the strong oppress the weak and in which people misappropriate what rightfully belongs to others is possible in a society that lives by the moral values of the Qur’an. There is no waste nor wasteful consumption of resources in a society guided by the Qur’an. Thanks to solidarity and justice, people’s economic strength grows. A wealthy society emerges. This is one of the clearest proofs of the Age of Happiness, when people lived by Qur’anic moral values, and which is renowned for its wealth and well-being.

It must not be forgotten that various temporary solutions to poverty may be proposed. But the important thing is to believe that the true solution, as with all problems, is to live by the moral values of the Qur’an. Because the superior moral virtues revealed in the Qur’an, such as feeding the poor and orphaned even though one is in need oneself, never giving other people things one would not want oneself, and helping others without making them feel a sense of obligation, can only emerge when people fully live by Qur’anic moral values. Allah has revealed in Surat an-Nur how materially powerful people should behave:

Those of you possessing affluence and ample wealth should not make oaths that they will not give to their relatives and the very poor and those who have emigrated in the way of Allah.* They should rather pardon and overlook. Would you not love Allah to forgive you? Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surat an-Nur, 22)

To What Is Social Justice Ascribed in the Risale-i Nur Collection?

In his Risale-i Nur Collection, Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, one of the greatest Islamic scholars of the 13th century (Hegira style), noted that social problems such as economic injustice and huge financial gulfs arise when two concepts prevail in society. The first is selfishness, that disregards others’ situations and says, “So what if others die of hunger as long as I am full?” [xxiv]The second is the mindset that thinks, “You labor so that I can rest; you work, so that I can eat.”[xxv] These are the main causes underlying the economic crisis today. Moral and economic collapse is inevitable in societies in which people enjoy financial interest even though this is forbidden in the Qur’an, in which they think only of themselves because they fail to abide by the moral values of the Qur’an, in which they feel no unease about hurting others for the sake of their own interests and in which they have no qualms about oppressing others and making use of their labor.

IMPORTANT STATEMENTS FROM MR. ADNAN OKTAR ON THE GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS

(From an interview by www.patronlardunyasi.com website in October 2008)

* Why There Is An Economic Crisis in the World:

“Materialist philosophy’s prevalence in the world has an immense effect. If a Turkish-Islamic Union exists in the world, economic crisis, terror and distress disappear; abundance and great wealth in their real sense reign.”

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's 04.12.2008 dated Kaçkar TV Interview

This economic crisis is also a sign of Mahdi’s appearance. That is to say as a result of this economic crisis the Turkish-Islamic Union will become even stronger and develop even better. And this economic crisis will become a means for the Turkish-Islamic Union. If we wait for a while, this will be seen, inshaAllah.

---The most important event right now in Turkey is this economic crisis. This is a sign stated in the Surah Yusuf. Because Allah attracts our attention to the number 7 in Surah Yusuf. There is a sign for 7 years of famine and a 7 another year of affluence in the Qur’an. The event is locked with 7. The economic crisis started in 2007. My conviction is that, Allah knows the truth, it will continue until 2014. In the Surah Yusuf, our attention is attracted to agriculture and stockbreeding. There is also the issue of taking measures against the economic crisis in the Surah Yusuf.

--- Importance should be given to both agriculture and stockbreeding. And even to poultry raising. Interest should be drawn down to zero, the taxes should be decreased considerably, and lots of money should be distributed to the poor; that is to say, distributing money by making a raise in their salaries, and the market should be accelerated by ensuring a raise in their purchasing power. Aside from this, if possible, services given in the hospitals should be free. Poor people should have access to free medical examination. When medical examinations are charged, they should be fairly decreased and this need of the public should be met easily. Pharmaceutical industry should be supported. That is to say, medicine prices should be reduced considerably, and the poor people should have access to free medicine. These are issues of vital importance. In these issues, the government should take measures against the crisis. If credit will be provided, these should be given to pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, agriculture and stockbreeding, and energy sector. These are vital matters. Once these are ensured, by Allah’s leave, our nation will survive this crisis very easily. But intensive measures should be taken. And these should be taken without delay. If it is delayed, it may be very difficult, it may be very troublesome, I think.

The 21st Century Will Be One of Economic Prosperity through the Prophet ‘Isa (as) and the Blessed Mahdi

As we are told in one of the hadith of our Prophet (saas), "My community will enjoy such well-being in that period, that it will definitely never have seen its like before...." (Sunan Ibn Majah, 10-347/ Ramuz al-Ahadith, p. 508), the Golden Age refers to a time close to Doomsday when the moral virtues of the Qur’an rule and when people live widely by religious moral values. Our Lord will make the Mahdi, in other words a servant possessed of superior moral virtues who bears the title of “he who leads the way to the truth,” instrumental in ending social injustice, materialist trends such as Darwinism, heretical teachings such as reincarnation, oppression and conflict in that period.

By Allah’s will, in the Golden Age, under the leadership of the blessed Mahdi and the Prophet ‘Isa (as), who will return to Earth at the same time as this holy individual, Islamic moral values will rule the world, underground resources in Islamic lands will be used as efficiently as possible and the climate of regeneration and justice in Islamic countries will have a powerful effect on the global economy. Through the Mahdi and the Prophet ‘Isa (as), who will act in the light of Allah’s words in the verse “Those of you possessing affluence and ample wealth should not make oaths that they will not give to their relatives and the very poor and those who have emigrated in the way of Allah.* They should rather pardon and overlook. Would you not love Allah to forgive you? Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful,” (Surat an-Nur, 22) there will be global economic prosperity and social injustices will be eradicated. In this period when the moral values of the Qur’an prevail, there will be great equality between people from all sections of society and, by Allah’s leave, a climate of peace and security will result.

Some Hadith of our Prophet (saas) Concerning the Golden Age to Take Place under the Leadership of the Prophet ‘Isa (as) and the Blessed Mahdi:
            · In that time my community, the good and the bad, all of them, will be blessed with blessings the like of which they have never seen before. [xxvi]
            · In his (the Mahdi’s) time, the ground will cast forth the treasures within it. [xxvii]
            · There will come such a time that someone will distribute the gold alms (he has set aside) and there will then be no-one (no poor person) to take those alms from his hand.[xxviii]
            · It is certain that in that time goods will multiply and flow like water, but no-one will (deign to) accept them. [xxix]

TECHNOLOGY IS GOD'S MERCY ON HUMAN BEINGS!

Technology is God’s mercy on human beings! All the entities that appear before us every day are proofs of God’s sublime creation. Any attentive eye closely examining these entities will see that they possess completely miraculous features. The fact that some people fail to see this glorious creation they encounter every day generally stems from a failure to look carefully.
Technology is human being’s shaping of the elements in the world according to a particular objective. If we look at the technological products around us we see that they all consist of metals such as iron, copper, zinc and aluminium, or else of plastic, a side-product of oil. If these substances, and metals in particular, did not exist on Earth, if human beings lacked the means to make use of them, then it would be impossible to speak of technology at all.
Careful examination of just a few of these elements shows just what miraculous structures these substances, the existence of which we are so familiar in our daily lives, actually possess. In his book Nature’s Destiny, which describes how the laws of nature and the elements in the universe are all specially designed for human life, the famous Australian molecular biologist Michael Denton says this about the element iron:
Of all the metals there is none more essential to life than iron… It was the drawing by gravity of iron atoms to the center of the primeval earth that generated the heat which caused the initial chemical differentiation of the earth, the outgassing of the early atmosphere, and ultimately the formation of the hydrosphere…
Michael Denton goes on to stress the great importance of iron, essential for flawless respiration, to the human metabolism:

And it is iron which by its delicate association with oxygen in the hemoglobin in human blood is able to convey in subdued form this most ferociously reactive atoms, the precious giver of energy, to the respiratory machinery of the cell, where oxygen’s energies are utilized to fuel the activities of life.

This makes it clear that iron is a metal of the greatest importance to every stage of life, from the most fundamental physical balances to our ability to use the air we breath. In Denton’s words:

Without the iron atom, there would be no carbon-based life in the cosmos; no supernovae, no heating of the primitive earth, no atmosphere or hydrosphere. There would be no protective magnetic field, no Van Allen radiation belts, no ozone layer, no metal to make hemoglobin [in human blood], no metal to tame the reactivity of oxygen, and no oxidative metabolism.

Right from the very earliest times, iron has also been the most important element in civilisations’ possession. The phenomenon known as industry came about thanks to steel, itself a mixture of iron and carbon. Technology is a product of industry. For example, were it not for iron, the level of global technology would be no higher than a few wooden tools.
In short, the presence in large quantities on Earth of the element we know as iron is a mercy from God on human beings. Indeed, God has drawn our attention to this in the Qur’an, in the Sura named “Hadid,” or “Iron:”

We sent Our Messengers with the Clear Signs and sent down the Book and the Balance with them so that mankind might establish justice. AND WE SENT DOWN IRON IN WHICH THERE LIES GREAT FORCE AND WHICH HAS MANY USES FOR MANKIND, so that Allah might know those who help Him and His Messengers in the Unseen. Allah is All-Strong, Almighty. (Surat al-Hadid, 25)

Iron, “in which there lies great force and which has many uses for mankind,” is a mercy that permitted human beings to develop technology. Therefore, everything made from iron and steel, which is iron reinforced with carbon, must be a means whereby we see the mercy of God. Buildings, the various makes of motor car, planes, bridges, railways, skyscrapers and so many other things exist thanks to God’s creation of iron, “in which there lies great force” and His placing it on the Earth. At this point, we must not of course forget that God has also given human beings the bodies, minds and consciousness with which to use these tools.
From Molten Iron to Computers
When the elements that make the use of advanced technology on Earth possible are examined, one can see signs of Allah’s Creative Artistry in all.

The starting point for technology is metallurgy; in other words, the process of melting and working metals... In order for this process to be performed, the existence of the appropriate metals and the means by which we can melt and shape these metals are both essential.
One of these is fire. Denton provides the following explanation on this subject:

“Our ability to handle fire is no trivial ability because it was only through the use of fire that technological advance was possible. Through fire came metallurgy and metal tools and eventually chemical knowledge. Because metals are the only natural conductors of electricity, the discovery of electromagnetism and electriciry, even the development of computers, are all in the last analysis the result of our ancient conquest of fire..”

The phenomenon Denton refers to as ability to handle fire is actually Allah’s placing fire at human beings’ disposal. Looked at in scientific terms, we see that fire has the exactly appropriate structure for human life on Earth. Fire starts with the ignition of inflammable bodies. What makes an object inflammable is the presence of carbon within it. When carbon and oxygen react with one another, they release a large amount of heat, which we see and perceive as fire.
The Earth Might Turn into a Fireball at Any Moment
However, there is a very important point here that should not be missed: Oxygen comprises some 21% of the Earth’s atmosphere, and carbon exists inside all living things, including our own bodies. In other words, the materials that give rise to fire are found side by side all over the world. So why do these molecules not immediately react with one another? Why does everything not immediately burst into flames?
An in-depth look at this question shows that there is a quite stunning creation in fire. Due to their chemical features, oxygen and carbon only react and produce fire at very high temperatures. Therefore, a high temperature is essential in order to make fire somewhere. When someone rubs two sticks together to produce fire, what they do is actually raising the temperature by way of friction. When lighting a match you have to rapidly heat the matchstick by rubbing it against a rough surface.
Were it not for fire and the elements that give rise to it, life on Earth would become impossible. If oxygen and carbon were just slightly more prone to react with one another then a small rise in air temperature would cause human beings, animals and plants to suddenly burst into flames. For instance, someone walking in the desert might suddenly go up in flames, just like a matchstick, when he went out at the hottest time of day. Plants and animals would face just the same danger. And of course it would be impossible to speak of normal life on such a world.
On the other hand, if oxygen and carbon required a slight level of heat in order to react with one another than they actually do, human beings could never manage to make fire at all. Fire would therefore be a mythical form of energy that only occurred as the result of forests being struck by lightning. The structures of oxygen and carbon bestow the most appropriate form on fire to allow it to be used by man. Denton also notes that human beings’ physical structures (hands, arms, movement ability, sense of sight etc.) are ideal in terms of making use of fire. He furthermore emphasizes that the Earth is an ideal environment to light a fire:

“The use of fire is of course dependent on additional environmental factors on the availability of wood, for example, and relatively dry conditions. Unless these additional factors were also favorable, then despite all the physical and mental adaptations which makes us Homo sapiens and despite the fitness of the earth as an abode for carbon-based life, neither fire, metallurgy, chemistry, nor any scientific progress would have been possible.”

All the conditions allowing human beings to develop technology have been created with the ideal structures and values. Allah points to this in the Qur’an, telling us that the substance of fire has been specially created:

He Who produces fire for you from green trees so that you use them to light your fires. ( Surah Ya-Sin, 80 )

Allah Is the Creator of All Blessings
In addition to the fact that fire is capable of being controlled, there is yet another important design that makes metallurgy possible: the metals on Earth melt and assume a liquid form at a temperature capable of being reached by fire. For example, iron requires a temperature of 1535 Centigrade degrees to melt; and this can only be obtained with powerful fire.
If the level of heat needed to melt iron were too high to be reached by the fuels on Earth, then there would be no such science as metallurgy. By the will of Allah, however, and the way that He has bestowed all kinds of means on man, human beings have produced magnificent works. Following a brief summary of the scientific development of man, Denton goes on to comment:

“But although the journey was long…the evidence increasingly suggests that the end was never in doubt, that we followed a path already charted to an end foreseen and that our success was not in the least a matter of contingency…we have been drawn along a predetermined path from the discovery of fire to the birth of science to the revelation of our own centrality in the order of nature.”

All this information provided by Michael Denton, a professor of biochemistry, using scientific terminology reveals a fact that the believer learns from the Qur’an: Allah has created the Earth for human life, has placed the entities on Earth at man’s disposal, and has enriched him with all forms of blessing. As our Lord tells us in verses from the Qur’an:

Allah is He Who created the heavens and the Earth and sends down water from the sky and by it brings forth fruits as provision for you. He has made the ships subservient to you to run upon the sea by His command, and He has made the rivers subservient to you, and He has made the sun and moon subservient to you holding steady to their courses, and He has made the night and day subservient to you. He has given you everything you have asked Him for. If you tried to number Allah’s blessings, you could never count them. Man is indeed wrongdoing, ungrateful. ( Surah Ibrahim, 32-34)
